23: On the team

*Reading is an habit not an attitude**

Hugging Maria from the back, we seem to have forgotten about time at all. I could feel her soft breathings and sexy body very intimately.

It had been some time now after our session. Because we were tired, we laid on the bed naked, no conversation and no shyness, just snuggling and feeling the warmth of our bodies.

All the thoughts in my mind was where do I go to complete quest and get stronger. The daily quest he had been completing slowly was the only thing giving him enough experience points to level up.

I can't always be depending on Daily Quest to level up, I need a real experience. I need the battlefield or a training ground.

Whiles in thought, Maria was also thinking of how to make a breakthrough and advance in realm. It hadn't gotten long when she had her breakthrough but was anticipating another one in the near time.

"Miss. Please open the door!" A maid called out.

The voice startled me as I immediately jumped out of the bed.

"What!! But I haven't called for any maid now." Maria whispered trying to sound low. She couldn't be heard speaking with someone inside her room.

I took my clothes off the floor and started putting them on. My hearting was beating very fast now. How come these people came here now. Haaah, What is it!!.

Maria also got up and put her clothes on, adjusting her messy hairs and face.

"You were soo intense, Nate." Maria complained with a pout,"If it weren't for you been extreme today, my hair and makeup wouldn't wash away."

"I couldn't help it. You were so cute and enjoying it that's why I went intense. If I had known I wouldn't have gone that far." I teased her back.

"Why are you taking soo long. My lady?" The maid shouted out again.

"We are in trouble and you want to tease me right now, hum you want and see!" Maria after adjusting her hair and makeup said with a sly smile.

I stood there pondering where I was going to hide. They can't see me here or else disaster for me.

"Where should I hide... should I hide in your closet?" I asked as that sounded nice and the easiest way to not be seen, but instead I got Maria angry.

"You dump, the maids are the ones who select clothes for me to wear; hiding in it will make them see you."

With that I took it upon myself, thinking of the right place to hide. This all was happening in a matter of minutes.

"You can hide behind there. I think you won't be seen...and I will find a way to lead the from here then you go out secretly."

I agreed to her plan since it sounded the best. I will hide and she will lead them out, and in that moment I will secretly leave the room. Ha! What a good plan. I rushed and hid behind a long red curtains that barricade the walls. Hiding there I could hear Maria's footsteps for while before it cut out.

And moments later, there were footsteps of many people in the room.

"What. The conversation isn't that of a maid and a madam...it's like colleagues." I whispered after following what they were talking about.

"Maria, it seems you look more vibrant and colorful nowadays..what's going on?" A gentle feminine voice sounded out.

I could hear Maria's laughter from behind the curtains.

"It's nothing... I just told you ladies right?" Maria questioned. Wanting to divert what they were talking of.

"Maria, why are you sounding cold. Is there something?" Another feminine voice teased.

I knew these ladies; they were Maria's friends since childhood. Arica and Tasha. They were the daughters of Count Adrian and Baron Gee.

These two individuals were all nobles of Skyfall Kingdom and held a nominal position in the military of the kingdom.

Arica was a beautiful girl with a pretty oval shape face. Her short black hair makes her like an adorable child. Been always cold and mean outside, many in the kingdom were afraid of her; but yet still many adored and fantasized about her. She never shows compassion outside, but the truth was she was a kind lady that pays back favor.

Tasha, the blooming beauty as many called her was the type to always show compassion and favors. She was loved many in the kingdom, and as the daughter of Count Adrian she was always helping out those in need in their place.

If these two are here, then how am I to get out of here and head out? Shhh, they are going to have a hell of a talk.

"Can we head out for a walk, I think it's hot inside." Maria said to them. She knew she had to send them out before they discover me. Tasha and Arica were both early stage apprentice magus.

"What a dumb! How can you ask that.... wouldn't it be better to just say,'let go out for a walk'?" I punched the wall behind me furiously making a light sound with the impact.

"What's that! It seems something is there?" Tasha with her early stage apprentice cultivation sensed the disturbance in the air waves.

"It's not....it's nothing, let go...." Maria rushed to Tasha before she could reach the curtains and discovers me.

Later I could hear the footsteps fainting and then the door been shut.

I came out from behind the curtains, standing in the empty room and facing the door.

"Ahhh! That was a close call...let me get out of here fast." I headed to the door and opened heading out.

"Whore are you?" A voice asked.

"Ohhh shit, I've been caught?" I turned to face the person. Facing the person I tried to search my memory to see if I've seen this person before.

"Are you sir Nate. I've been searching all around for you?" The servant asked.

I felt relieved since the servant didn't question me of any thing. Seeing how he was behaving made me relaxed.

"Ohh, and what's it?" I inquired.

"Sir Campbell is waiting for you in the Caves. If you don't know the place you can follow me Sir,"

"There you are Nate, It's an emergency and we have to head out." Reaching the entrance of the cave Sir Campbell shouted.

"And what's that? I asked not making anything from what he said.

"There was an uproar at the border....when I say border, I mean the south border. The humanoids are planning something big and we have to know what that thing is.." He said looking at me," and we are the ones on this mission."

Hearing him say that. A sense of fear came over me. If he's on the mission then it meant an on it too. And why am going to the south borders that's filled with those bloodthirsty creatures who didn't know anything apart from slaughtering.

"I can see that you're deliberating...don't!because you're going too. Pack up, we will be setting off three days time. Before that enjoy...boy" He walked out of the cave leaving me standing there in a daze.

"I need training, and I get thrown into a battle.... fuck that man."
