15: Assassination 1

A pretty young woman wearing a purple linen dress that accentuated all of her curves as she walked,on a footpath as the morning sun shone brightly in the sky.She was very attractive because of her constant grins adding to her blue eyes.

"I hope my father won't ask me where I was," She fastened her pace to move quickly.

A guard entered a hall,Bowing he said, "Greetings, your Majesty. Sir Marquis is on his way here." The conflict between humans and humanoid beasts was becoming increasingly fierce as the days passed. Unable to bear it any longer, the king summoned the marquis of the northern border to discuss with him the ways to put an end to it.

The humanoids were a hybrid of two races, as their name suggests.Their king wanted to use his strength to rule over over Skyfall Kingdom but was worried that other kingdoms would come to their aid. They are a race with numbers and strength to support themselves.This compelled him to abandon his original objective, but as time passed and it became clear that the two kingdoms didn't contact much, he began to use his troops, who looked a lot like humans and were quite similar to them, to invade the Skyfall Kingdom.He had been keeping an eye on all of their dealings with the other Kingdoms.He had been murdering the strongest members of the kingdom using Asura as a conduit, and now that the time has come, he is preparing a massive assault.

King mumbled, "I hope the meeting tomorrow goes well."He anticipated the backing of the vampires because he was aware that his physical power was not sufficient for him to command an army.

A person was sitting cross-legged in the center of one of the caves of a mountain that was obscured by a dense forest of trees.Due to the beachfront mountainscapes' abundance of dirt, this mountain was given the name Dirt. As a result, few people visit this forest.

Then the person opened his eyes, a smile suddenly appeared on his handsome face.

I was confident I could succeed.

He got up from where he was and leaped for joy.A screen then emerged in front of him.

Maria was trembling, tense, and extremely terrified as she stood in front of his home.She had been standing outside unable to enter for some time.Nate's voice rang in her mind as she hesitated whether to enter or go somewhere else.

She grinned before taking a step and then another while looking determined to go inside.

Sir Marquees has arrived,Your Majesty. A guard in silver armor informed,his head looking down.

The king commanded him to "get up," "contact the southern borderline, and inquire as to their status."

The guard stood up and then turned to look at the king. As he focused and narrowed his vision, he noticed something shifting behind the king.

The guard then started to become more alert, channeling his energy as he moved quickly to get behind the king just as the object that had transformed thrust his hands, which had now changed into a spear, trying to pierce the king. The guard then got behind the king, channeling his energy into his hands, hardening them, and using them as a shield, he caught onto the hand-like spear.

All of this happened in a few seconds, and as King turned to face the sight, he was startled.

"WHAT!!!,GUAAARDS" He shouted.Waiting but no one entering,His fear and dread increased.

"Bastard, or should I say KIINNG, don't be afraid" It said, still in the process of transforming.

The guard, whose hand spear wound had shocked him.

"Human..noid!!" Blood was trying desperately to stop the bleeding coming from the spear wound.

The object had transform into a hybrid of a beast and a person.Snickering with his long, pointed teeth, he had a diabolical appearance.

"You have to die today, King!" He started taunting him with his status.

"You believe you can get things your way, but I'm not that weak, you know." The king took off his crimson overcoat and just wore his long silk robe. He then began to channel his energy, which caused his face to get progressively paler.

"Let me deal with him, your majesty, you look sick."

"Hahaha, two can handle the task, one is not enough." He declared, "If you pass away, the kingdom will be in disarray. At that point, me and my comrades who have infiltrated your kingdom will take control very easily."

Blue and cyan glow engulfed their body as they channeled their energies, yet the humanoid stood there unmoved by their abilities.

Humans are true show offs; you folks like to flaunt! What have you got? He began to channel his energy, —but things have changed since then.

KINNGG OF SKYFAALALL kingdom, meet your end. He charged at them both, his hand shifting once more.

"What's happening over here?" Marquees Dolph asked,looking around all the guards had now surrounded the entrance to the Meeting hall,"Why can't anyone reply to me?,are you all going to stand there and do nothing whiles there is a barrier blocking us."

He had arrived some time ago and was having a conversation with his guards to prepare for their departure when he saw a white fog starting to enlarge to other areas.Seeing this,he knew something was up,and the only person who would be targeted in the meeting hall was the King.This made him rush over,knowing the King's life is in danger.

"ARE YOU GOING TO STAND THERE AND DO NOTHING..." He explodes with anger,rushing towards the barrier without minding the guards.

"..."

Getting no response again,he knew something bad is really going to happen.Then turning his head to look behind him,he could see black fog surrounding five of the guards.

"There are six guards in total here and now five of them are humanoids.", He evaluated,being at the borders and with his experience,he had seen many humanoids and knew some of their characteristics.And soon his evaluation came true as the five guards started to transform.

"Fatty,Greg attack them before they finish their transformation,judging by the thickness they are equal to a human late stage intermediate magician.", He thought.

He was a middle stage intermediate magician and at the middle stage True Martial in body cultivation.But the humanoids have a hard skin adding to their ability to heal to some some point,he knew the battle will be though.

"Don't worry Marquees of the North border, Yoouurr KING or whatever will die anyway!! he may be dead by this time" The Leader of the group spoke in the human language.Then channeling energy to his legs he shot towards Marquees Dolphy.

"Y..YOU DAREEE!!!" Marquees Dolph rushed meeting him in a close combat.The two guards whom he was familiar with were also engaging in combat with the four humanoids-whom there cultivation base may be equal.

Transforming his hand to that of a sword,he charged at Marquees Dolphy.Then meeting him head on was the Marquees,who had his sword in its scabbard,with energy glowing around his sword he sent a flick of the energy towards the humanoid.Then stomping down,he reached the him as the sound of sword clashing could be heard at the entrance.

The two guards were not faring well either,four against two and they were even equal in cultivation with the humanoids hard skin,the battle became tough.

"I hope his majesty is faring well..., If he dies the kingdom will be in uproar...."
