Found Out

As they headed toward Alden, Alden didn't stop moving.

He slowed his pace to conserve his spiritual energy.

It's still better to move, after all.

If he used up all his spiritual energy, he would have to remain in one place for several hours.

He continued moving through the forest. 

In about three hours, he had nearly depleted all his spiritual energy. 

He stopped using his spiritual energy and continued slowly walking. He felt dread and ominous, which pushed him to move forward, but he couldn't pinpoint why.

Thus, he continued walking till dusk. 

At night, he didn't dare move through the forest. Especially without his spiritual eyes.

 Thus, he jumped on a tree and climbed to the top. Though it was colder up there, it was safer.

He sat on a branch, and several chocolate bars appeared in his hands. He had not eaten anything all night. He quickly devoured the chocolate bars and drank a bottle of water.
