A drop of blood fell on the body of the green slug.
The green slug immediately absorbed the blood. A blinding green light released from it, illuminating the surroundings.
The green slug and Alden were forming a Soul Contract.
Alden immediately felt a connection with the green slug.
The green light slowly dispersed.
A green portal opened by itself, and the green slug entered Alden's mental world.
"Alden..." With everything complete, Linda called for Alden. She has lost a lot of blood. She lay in a puddle of her own blood.
Alden took her palm. "I-I am here." He spoke, his voice breaking.
"You know... Had my child not died... He would have been the same age as you. Who knows, maybe you would have been classmates." Tears rolled down the sides of Linda's eyes.
Alden tightly clenched her palm as his tears intensified.
