Li Mei let out a chuckle, her face turning serious. "Let's wait and see then," she challenged.
Li He's expression mirrored hers as they circled each other, their gazes locked in a silent battle of wills. The tension crackled between them.
Suddenly, they sprang into action. Li Mei, with her trusty short sword, charged towards Li He. He, however, chose not to meet her attack head-on, instead relying on his incredible speed to retreat.
Their fighting styles had clearly shifted. Gone were Li He's usual volleys of arrows as he retreated. His focus was solely on evading Li Mei's relentless advance. She, on the other hand, seemed almost desperate to close the distance, her movements hinting at a hidden strategy. Li He, however, was wise to her intentions, keeping her at bay.
Frustration bubbled over. "Damn it Li He, do you only know how to run away?" Li Mei snarled, her voice laced with annoyance.
