Chapter 69. The mastermind.

The tension in the room was palpable the moment the words left Li Chen's mouth.

Even though Li Chen's accusation carried a lot of weight, they couldn't argue with the fact that it also seemed like a plausible idea.

Maybe the whole incident wasn't an accident after all, and someone had tried to kill Li Chen. But that would also mean that Li Yun was involved, as it wouldn't have been possible without his execution and knowledge of the plan.

The elders then discussed the matter in silence for a while. Li Chen just stood there, observing them. Even though he couldn't hear their discussion, he could guess what they were talking about.
