Eliana's POV

"Mom, what are we going to do?" I anxiously chewed on my nails. "Odette is gone. Wallace has returned. Will our plan be exposed?"

My mother, Samantha, carefully placed the antidote for Wolfsbane back in her locker and ensured it was securely locked. Then, she turned to me and replied, "No, I released Steven as soon as Odette ran away."

Steven, whom my mother referred to as Rogue, had been promised the wolfsbane antidote in exchange for his help. Unfortunately, Guy's sister accidentally ingested wolfsbane and is now in critical condition.

"But Mom, if you weren't going to kill him, why did you let Steven go?" I questioned.
