'Today is the day… I finally become a man!' Liam thought, his fingers fidgeting as he stared at the beauty sitting across him.
She had curly golden hair which fell down her forehead in a bang, and beautiful sky-blue eyes.
Her face had a feminine circular shape, with small, slightly puckered lips and beautiful facial features overall.
She was also quite busty, having bountiful breasts as well as a slender, curvy waist.
She rested her elbows on the table, focusing intently on the book in her hands.
The sweet, flowery scent of her perfume wafted across the room, tickling his nose with its aroma.
The more Liam stared at her, the faster his heart kept beating unable to contain his rising nervously.
'Do it… just do it… even if all end up badly, and she ends up hating you for life… and never speaks to… you again…' He mumbled in his mind, fiddling with his fingers.
Different images of how poorly all of this could go kept playing out in his mind, each one sapping away the courage he thought he had built up.
Compared to her blinding beauty, he looked like a cockroach beside her.
He had messy black hair, along with a pair of large, oval glasses resting on his average face.
"Damn it…" He muttered, placing his head on the table.
"Are you okay?" Sophie asked, dropping the book in her hands back to the table.
They were currently in Liam's room, studying together like they usually did.
The room was basic, with a single bed and a set of table and chairs at the side, where they were seated.
"Yeah, I am…" Liam replied, his heart skipping another beat when he looked into her mesmerising pair of eyes.
"You're sure? You've been acting quite weird today—"
"I need to tell you… something." Liam suddenly said, cutting off her words.
"Huh?" Sophie muttered in confusion, her brows furrowing slightly.
She slowly turned her gaze to Liam, who was staring into her eyes.
Taken aback by his gaze, her mouth parted slightly, but no words came out.
However, if one carefully observed her, one would notice the burning red creeping up her ears.
Liam sighed, shutting his eyes before snapping them back open, looking into the eyes of Sophie.
"I-I really like you… I have for a while now… and I wish you'd be m-my… my girlfriend." Liam muttered, his heart beating so fast that he felt it would burst out.
"H-huh?" Sophie muttered, placing a hand over her mouth in shock.
Her cheeks blushed bright red, and she subconsciously turned her head away, still covering her mouth.
"A-are… you serious?" She asked in a whisper, her gaze drifting back to Liam.
"Yes… I am." Liam muttered, his breathing heavy.
Suddenly, Sophie stood up from her seat, pushing the chair back with her legs.
Liam's eyes widened, clenching his fists as he cast his gaze back to the ground.
'Of course… what was I thinking? Now she's going to storm out in anger… I've ruined everything.' He thought, gnashing his teeth.
Then a sweet flowery scent abruptly filled his nose, and a soft gasp escaped his lips.
The next thing he knew, a pair of soft hands gently rested upon his cheeks, sending a sharp jolt through his skin as they slowly lifted his head back up.
"Sophie…" Liam muttered, staring in awe at the pair of sky-blue eyes in front of him.
Her face was so close to his, that he could feel her warm breath brushing against him.
"It took you so long… idiot," Sophie said, her cheeks blushing as her eyes locked with Liam's.
Suddenly, she pulled his head closer, locking his lips in a deep kiss.
Liam's eyes widened, taken aback by the pair of soft, tasty lips pressing against him.
However, he didn't resist them, eagerly returning the kiss instead.
Their lips danced together in a clumsy pattern, the two participants lacking enough experience.
Sophie straddled Liam, gently rubbing his chest with her palm as they kissed with passion.
"Haa…" Liam panted, slowly breaking away from the kiss.
His face flushed as he stared at the thin line of saliva connecting their lips.
'This… is not a dream.' He thought, swallowing a gulp.
Sophie quickly turned her head to the side, her face burning in embarrassment.
What she just did was something she saw in a romance movie, one in which she had imagined herself and Liam as the main characters countless times.
"I… have an idea," Liam muttered, gently drifting his hands down to her waist.
He gulped at the sensation of his hands digging into her soft skin, sending jolts through his body.
His hands trembled slightly, still in disbelief about what was happening.
He had always buried his feelings in his heart, thinking that he might ruin their friendship if he didn't.
But to think Sophie also felt the same way about him… his heart was floating in the skies!
*
A few minutes later,
The two lovebirds walked on the side of the road, gently holding each other hands while blushing.
Liam pushed his glasses up his nose, his lips curling into a stupid grin as he stared at Sophie.
Every place they passed, different gazes lingered on them. Some simply ignored them while the rest muttered something under their breath.
"Now…" Sophie said, breaking her hand away from Liam's grip.
"I'm officially your girlfriend…" She said, walking backwards with her hands tucked behind her.
Her ears were pink as she stared at Liam, fiddling with her fingers.
"Gosh… this is the first time I'm in a relationship." She said, chuckling to herself.
"Yeah, me too… it still feels so—" Liam's gaze suddenly caught sight of a large tank truck barrelling towards her from the side.
The driver was asleep and the truck kept swerving carelessly as it headed towards them at rapid speed.
"Watch out!" He shouted, dashing toward her before pulling her out of the way.
However, doing so placed him directly in front of the speeding truck.
Bam!
Before he could even react, the truck struck him with immense force, hurtling his body like a rag doll.
His glasses cracked, the shattered frames landing in front of Sophie, who was still reeling from the shock.
"L-liam…" She mumbled, staring at the blood-stained glasses in front of her in horror.
Tears pooled in her eyes, and she weakly stumbled to the ground, her body trembling uncontrollably.
The screams of people echoed in the air as the tank truck kept swerving carelessly, running into different cars before crashing into a filling station across the street.
Boom!
The filling station immediately went up in flames, the force of the explosion sending out a hot wave which violently swept across the surroundings.
