CHAPTER 339: REJECTION

"Mum! Do you even hear her? We need answers to all of this!" Lisa added with glaring eyes which were directed to her mother.

At that time, Diana was in huge confusion. She was scared and wasn't ready to tell her daughters about the identity of this man. After all, how could she open up after lying to them all these years? They would be disappointed and heartbroken! She wasn't ready to be hated by her flesh and blood.

But what was she to do now? Things were different right now. Especially by the way this arrogant man was behaving in front of her pre...

"I am your father!" Diana snapped from her dazed state by the man's audacity.

"WHAT? What the hell are you talking about? W-we don't have a.."

"No! I am your father! I swear by my mother's grave!" Samir punched the floor hard with tears in his eyes. He couldn't wait for his daughter to finish her statement before he cut her off with his astonishing words.

All the years he had lived on this earth, the man had never shown his weakness but today, he couldn't suppress the tears that were heavy in his eyelids.

Lisa and Lydia were short for words. They were more than shocked. This was new! They never thought that things would be like this.

Diana wandered her eyes all over the place panicky.

Would her daughters trust her again? What sort of a mother could lie to her kids about their father's whereabouts?

This was a twist! A twist of life and all its reality that it could show anyone if it wanted to! To be frank, life was full of new discoveries and surprises but today, this was beyond the twin's imagination.

The pain, really pain!

"MUM! CAN YOU PLEASE SAY SOMETHING?" This time Lisa shouted at the end of her lungs.

This was much than they could bear.

"W-well, h-he is lying!" Diana stammered with sweat already dripping on her forehead. She was scared to death.

Her body was trembling as is she was on a feeble tree.

"What the hell are you trying to say, Diana? I am their father!" Samir punched the hard floor again with disappointment forgetting all he did to Diana in the past.

"No! He is not your father! Your father died long ago! Let's go!" Diana tried to close the door but it was stopped midway as Samir pulled it so that it couldn't close.

"Mother, what is this? Why are we not understanding both of you? Our father? But our father died and we even saw his grave!" Lydia shouted in anger and rage.

Their father? Was what they saw some years ago not their father's grave? A place where Lydia used to visit each time she felt lonely, thinking she was speaking to her late father but what was this now?

Diana raised her head as tears rushed down her eyes in anger and the pain that she was trying to hide all this long, couldn't be hidden again.

The pain of Samir wanting her to disappear from his life! The pain caused by Samir wanting her to terminate her two precious daughters! The pain that was caused by Samir who humiliated her while at his house as a maid. The pain of being chased away from her family because of the pregnancy. The pain she had to endure alone to make sure her daughters got what other children could get. The pain of the lie that Samir invented to make her believe that he was a single man and poor.

"THE PAIN..." She suddenly collapsed to the ground shocking all the people while squeezing her neck.

"Mother!" Lydia and Lisa were flabbergasted by their mother's behaviour. She had not been like this all these years.

What did this heartless man who was claiming to be their father do to their mum in the past? Why was their mother in this state and she had been happy all these years?

"Get out of our sight right now? We don't want to see your face again! All these years, we have been here and never once have you thought of seeing us!" Lydia glared at the man with a hostile gaze while trying to lend her sister a hand in helping their mother who was on the ground crying like a baby.

"You see this woman here, this is our father, mother, sister, brother, relative and all the relations one could need. She had been with us in raining or in sunshine! When in darkness or light! Tough times or easy times! She can get angry at us because of our behaviour but never once did she leave us alone! All in all Mr, no matter who you are or how rich you are, you will bever be our father! Our father was buried long ago under our feet. So, respect yourself and LEAVE!" Lydia clenched her fists in anger as she gritted her teeth while biting her inner lip to hide the tears that were threatening to cascade down her cheeks.

Diana and Lisa were shocked to their bones as they listened to Lydia. But Diana's shock was different because she was amaized by her daughter. She had thought her daughters would be disappointed with her lie but that was different from their reaction right now.

Of all the people, Lydia was supposed to be the one who could buy this rich man's words because she was known to be tempted with worldly things, especially materialistic things but today, she was the one who dared to chase the man who was on their doorstep.

"Leave! Didn't you hear that?" Lisa insisted with clenched fists while her chest movement was unbearable for anyone to witness because of the pain that was indescribable in her heart.

"Father? Hahaha! Over my dead body! Where were you all these years? Get out!" Lydia chimed in again with a mocking laugh but internally, she was more than heartbroken.

A drop of huge tear dropped on the floor where Samir was kneeling.

Rejection? This was more painful than all the things he was going through right now.

So this was the way her daughter Blessing felt that day her own biological sister rejected her as her maid. So this was what people described as rejection and being hated by your own family.

Indeed, the world gave back in the same cruel manner.

CRUEL WORLD!

He couldn't keep eye contact with his daughters considering the way the girls rejected him without even being told by their mother to do so.

That only meant one thing, no matter how hard he could try to do, nothing would bear fruit with the way the girls chased him like a stray dog.

This was not him at all. No one dared to humiliate him in this manner no matter what. But now, his daughters were the ones to do it.

"P-please! L-listen to me at le.."

"Get out!" The twins chorused in a rage stopping Samir from his statements.

It was like they were directed.

He tried to gaze at Diana but the woman was not even gazing at him. It was like she was enjoying all the humiliation he was given by his own blood.

"Out!" Lydia was persistent while holding her mom with her right hand.

"D-Diana! Can't you tell ou.."

"I said out!" Lydia shouted again with tears this time. She couldn't hold them anymore. Her heart was filled with pain like it was in a blazing fire.

"Okay dear..cry! I am...going but I have one request from you two!" Samir gave up finally after seeing that arguing with his girls who looked ten times stubborn than him, couldn't bear any fruit.

This time, Diana who was still on the floor, gazed at the man as all her concentration shifted to him together with her daughters anxiously waiting for what  the devil was going to tell her daughters.

Yes, that was how Diana viewed Samir, her ex lover! Things changed!

"What?" Lydia asked without any sign of remorse with this man calling himself their dad. in fact, her tears were already dry.

"Okay, I request that you accept my inheritance that I have tried painstakingly to add you guys! The papers will be sent to you for signing by my lawyer" Samir pleaded again still on the floor looking as if he was about to lose his life. Like a rained on kitten.

"Hahaha! You think we are interested in your wealth?" Lisa who had been quiet and just listen to her father exclaimed finally.

"That is your right!" Samir chimed in.

"And you think we need that live?"

"No! No! Please don't take it that way. I know I deserve all the things that are happening to me right now but please don't think that I am trying to buy you with my wealth. You know what? Wealth doesn't matter to me anymore! The property doesn't add anything to me right now. I am an empty man who has nothing to do in this world anymore with all the things I have committed to many and to my own. Money indeed is nothing compared to humanity! I regret all the wrongdoing that I did to you especially by neglecting my duty as a parent as rich as I am. I am sorry girls plus your mother. I just hope, you shall forgive me one day. One more thing!," Samir explained more than he always did but his final words made the three people attentive again.

Seeing how attentive they were, he continued, "I might go to jail anytime from now but please, I want you two to love each other so much!"

"We already love each other!" Lydia answered emotionlessly.

"Yeah, and I can see that but can you all accept my final wish?" Samir pleaded again.

"You are wasting our time already  can you please go straight to the point?" Diana who had been quiet while her heart was beating like a police car finally lost her patience. She wanted this man out of her sight as soon as possible. She didn't want her children to be influenced by him at all costs.

"S-sorry but can you please take care for Blessing Richard?"

"Blessing Richard? What's wrong with her?" Lydia and Lisa chorused.

"She is my daughter too like the two of you!"

"What?" The family was lost with the response.

The same Blessing was their sister?

Lisa was on cloud nine but she couldn't show it in front of this man.

Blessing her idol was her step-sister?

Indeed the world had its twist.
