CHAPTER 278: CHANGE 2

"I am feeling hungry, Lisa!" Diana btought the two girls into the living world.

"What would you want to eat, mama?" Lydia shocked the duo in the room.

What just happened? Lydia asked her mother that question, with love on her face?

"Tell me, mama! I will prepare it for you! I learned from Lisa to cook! I will cook for you!" Lydia declared to the duo who was now in a daze.

This was new for them! Lydia to cook? No! She never did anything like that! She never went closer to the kitchen!

Her mother and Lisa were the ones who did all of that but not her.

"Realy? You want to cook for mum Lydia?" Lisa asked her eyes were about to barge out of her socket in disbelief.

Since they turned fifteen, Lydia had never cooked anything in their house. Diana got used to it and just left her to be. After all, she believed that not all ladies were blessed in cooking or liked the thing itself so she just let her go be.

"Yes! Why not? I will go home and cook for mama! Lisa, just take good care of her for me, okay?"

"For me? Ooh! Hahaha! I mean for us!" She rectified her mistake in a bullet pace. She was lost for words.

Lydia now valued her mother to that extent? The girl who didn't care about her at all! What came over her? Or was it true that the girl had changed her ways?

"And one more thing, mama and Lisa, from now on, I will be cooking for mama until she gets better. After that, I and Lisa will share responsibilities in the house so that mama can get enough rest before you join university, Lisa" Lydia beamed like nothing was going on!

'Wow! Is she serious?' Diana who was staring at the girl in shock asked herself.

She was dumbstruck with the new Lydia.

She had not even asked about her simple hairstyle and now, here she was talking senses like she wasn't the Lydia she knew.

Was she sick? Or was she regretting all of this?

"There is no need Lydia. Lisa will just buy fast food for.."

"No! No! No! My mother will not eat fast food while I am here!" She said with pouting lips.

"You mean it? If you are still blaming yourself Lydia please don't" Lisa chimed in wonder.

"No! Is it bad for me to cook for my own mother?" Lydia questioned as she wiped the remaining tears on her red cheeks.

"No! I didn't mean that! Of course, you can cook for her, is just that we all know that you don't like cooking!" Lisa split the bean making her sister gaze at the floor in embarrassment.

"Hahaha! Don't be embarrassed now. Your sister is right. All those days, you never cooked but we understand you, dear. After all, not every woman like cooking, okay?" Diana came out from her dazed state and answered with a weak smile.

"No! I will cook!" Lydia beamed and stomped out of the room.

"Did you just see that mother?" Lisa asked as she pointed at her sister with her little index finger.

"Your sister has changed a lot, Lisa! Sometimes I pity her. I don't like to see her like that. I wanted to deny her with that condition of hers, it will be risky but I just didn't want her to feel like she is not the same" Diana stated sympathetically.

"By the way mom, don't you think it is fair if Mark's parents take responsibility for their son's actions? Like why didn't you tell them about it? You just lashed at them and just got out of the place. You should have asked for their help"
