CHAPTER 183: REUNION 3

Finally, she decided to collapse on the floor and kowtow several times while murmuring a prayer making all the people in the room flabbergasted especially her dad who knew nothing about what transpired between his daughter and Diana because Diana did not tell them everything, especially the part where Blessing's hand was about to rot due to lack of medical attention and about the painful operation that was done on it probably because she didn't want to worry them.

"What is wrong with you dear? Why are you kowtowing while talking to yourself?" He asked shocked evidence on his face but the girl ignored him until she finished what she was doing and got up from the floor then embraced the woman in front of her into a tight hug with a heavy cry.

"It's okay my girl. I miss you more than you can imagine. I searched for you all over the city but I was not able to see you but now, I thank God that you are here in front of me and healthy!" Diana mumbled while holding the girl tight as tears of joy rushed down her cheeks too.

She was just bringing breakfast for Richard from home because the man slept in the hospital together with his sick wife when she heard the voice of the girl she had been praying to meet again.

She didn't believe her ears at all that she had to rush in only to see her quarrelling with her dad. She respected the girl a lot and loved her because of how tough she was. 

She always used her as an example when trying to put sense into her twins.  She was a bit sad because the girls would not see her as she was going to travel.

Despite all that happened to her, she never gave up and now she was here while they were thinking that she disappeared from the world. 'He is the God of wonders' She murmured as she ruffle the girl's hair.

"Time is not on our side, I don't know if you still want to travel. Ooh! I am sorry, I am Alex by the way. Good morning!" Alex blurted out elegantly making the duo to broke their embrace and all of them gazed at him.

'This man got some nerves. He can't wait!' Blessing whispered looking scared. Her heart was already throbbing. She didn't want to lose the chance but now, how could she leave her mum in this state and travel to a foreign country? She sighed in disappointment. 

She had to let the chance slide and she would plead for forgiveness from Alex later and try to make him understand her situation anyway.

"I am ...!"

"Go child go! Don't lose the chance that you have between your palms. Your parents will take care of themselves. They are old enough for that. Go and make your future bright because even though you stay here, you won't help your mother with anything. Go and secure your future. I know they will be sad but they will understand!" Diana retorted back with a determination that Richard was shocked by that.

He never imagined that Diana would say that to his daughter.

He wanted to reject this stupid and shameless young man who he thought was trying to woo her daughter with his money. He did not like the man at all because he was only gaining at him and his wife without batting an eye as if he knew them.

He was already irritated by him.

He hated him for no reason. Maybe because of the event that took place yesterday or maybe because he was rich and handsome than him. He wanted to do everything for his family by himself but he knew he couldn't because of his living conditions. But he vowed not to allow her daughter to be swallowed by his wealth.

"Dad! Do you agree?" Blessing asked the man who was still in a daze while gazing at Alex with a lot of hatred as if he wanted to kill him with just his eyes.

"Ooh! Mmh if that is what you want child but where will you go for your studies?" He asked but deep inside of him, he didn't want this man's help at all. If Diana didn't interrupt, he would have rejected them a long time ago. He wanted to chase the young man out of the room.

"Ooh! Sorry dad and aunty Diana, Alex here is very kind and willing to help me throughout the years that I will be taking my studies in India!" The blessing was introduced happily.

"India? You mean you are going to India?" Diana and Richard chorused subconsciously but with different emotions and feelings. While Diana was excited about all of these blessings, Richard was not happy at all.

He didn't want his daughter to be closer to this wealthy young man. He thought that he would change her and that was what he couldn't allow at all costs.

He knew his daughter was a self-directed girl but still, he didn't want the influence of this wealthy man in front of him.

"Yes, dad! He is ready to help me with everything and the journey is today itself but I don't know about mum, I don't want to go without...."

"Go, girl! You have my blessings like your name! I am happy to see you here but I can't keep you. Go and change our life completely!" The woman on the bed whispered from nowhere.

What? And here they thought she would not wake up soon! God was surprising them with everything that they didn't know how to appreciate.

Blessing was in a daze. She had already lost hope earlier but now, it seemed her dream was bound to come through. 

She couldn't wait to treat her mum after becoming a great doctor.

It was indeed unbelievable!

All the people opened their mouths wide in shock except Alex of course because his eyes were on the woman on the bed trying to compare her with Blessing but he couldn't see any similarity.
