Vincent, back then, never believed in miracles. He thought that everything was predetermined by those that were above them.
For even though there were gods, Vincent never believed in their benevolence.
Right now, he was questioning that belief.
Vincent swallowed, afraid that he might make a fool of himself. But it was already too late for that. He looked like a fool staring at her right now, afraid to blink, thinking she might disappear.
He waited for so long. In those three years, all he could ever think about was her and ways to beg for her forgiveness. He often wondered what she was doing and if she was okay. When he was sailing, he frequently asked if they saw the same scenery; perhaps, they would meet unexpectedly like this.
"My name…" Vincent bit his tongue, wanting to mock himself. His heart almost dropped the moment he opened his mouth. His ears were ringing, and even his very own flesh was trembling.
