"They are still looking for us. Aren't they?" Ophelia did not take her eyes away from the window, where she was standing for more than a few hours.
Her eyes were glued to the knights who were asking about them in the area.
It has been more than three times that they came looking for them in the same lane.
The clouds in the sky were darker covering all the light from the moon, just like their lives.
It has been two days since they have come here. Olivia was going out to look for a job and scan their surroundings, while she was staying in the inn temporarily and collecting gossip about their empire.
She had come to know that her father, the emperor of the Forsaliniea empire was announced as a corrupt and greedy man. And the attack on the palace and massacre of their family was told as a rebellion of commoners and nobles against their cruel ruler.
They were turned into cruel people and their death was taken as justice.
So many times she felt like she would break the bones of the men who knew nothing about truth but believed in whatever they heard.
But she knew, among those men there were spies, who were looking for them and waiting for them to make a mistake so that they could be dragged back to hell too.
Yet the thought of being called traitor of the land they have served all their life, she wondered if their father would get peace in his afterlife.
Just the thought of it makes her want to go back and kill that bastard who had taken away everything from them.
"You do not need to worry about that. I will handle everything. Come and sit with me and have your meal before I have to pay for the broken window too." only then did not Ophelia notice that her grip on the pane was so tight that her knuckles had turned white. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath as she had decided that she would not worry her sister further. But she was weak at hiding her thoughts.
"Have you found a job you were looking for?" though they have taken a lot of jewels. They both have decided to keep it for sometime as it was risky to come in the limelight suddenly.
But they only have a few silver coins that would not last for long if they continued to stay at the inn and dine out.
"I am trying. But you should not be worried about it. I will manage money. You should rest your face still looking pale.`` This was the signatory reply her sister gave her whenever she asked anything.
This was not what she was asking for but she knew Olivia would never share her problems with them. She had the habit of suffering alone.
Sometimes she wonders how they were so different even when they have grown up together.
"This is your favorite apple pie and this is one of the best meat dishes here." Ophelia stared at her sister hard but the girl just feigned ignorance as if she did not notice the glare.
"I am looking at the small houses in the town too. Since capital is expensive, we will not be able to buy even a small house there.
But here we can have a furnished one room house with a small garden if we pay all the jewels we have though I am still trying to look for more.
But i think that place is good since it is near the central town. Market and business area will be nearby.
The knights are not getting recruited this time so I am trying my luck as a guard.
I do not want to look for other jobs, I need to hone my skills and prepare myself." Ophelia scanned the face of her sister, she could feel the struggle but at the same time the will to revenge beneath her calm eyes.
The thought of her leaving alone to take the revenge of her parents made her worry as she knew how adamant she was about that revenge.
"Prepare yourself for? What are you planning for Oli? If you think that you can take all the decisions by yourself just because you are older to me then you are wrong." with a stern look in her eyes, Ophelia let go of the fork in her hands and as she slapped the table hard making her sister stunned for a second.
Guilt filled her sister's eyes but she looked away, making the frown of her face increase.
"And what about me? Would you leave me alone here? Wouldn't it be better if i leave before that. Since I am only a burden to you, you are trying to settle before you go on your killing spree.
I wonder what even made you think that you can kill them all alone when even your father with his complete army failed to do so!" she could not believe that the sister she was trying to trust so hard was behaving like a fool
They have saved their life with so much difficulty and yet she wanted to go there. Even she wanted to take revenge but she knew that it was impossible and their father would want them to live rather than die in taking revenge.
"Ophelia, I will never leave you alone. I promise. So don't be angry please." she raised her head and sighed when she noticed the worried face of her sister.
"Fine, but you better earn good and look for a good house for us." A smile formed on the face of Olivia when Ophelia shook her head and started having her meal again.
But just when she picked up the fork from the table, a knock was heard on the door that were no less than the call from hell
"Who is it?" asked Ophelia, collecting her strength as she tried to sound calm.
"My lady, a few knights are looking for you!"
