"The horse was given poison." said Tavern with a cold look as an expert in poison was standing behind him.
"It was a dry poison which could not mix in the blood unless water was mixed in it. That was why it was not caught. But the rain had initiated it. If not for the rain, the horse would have drank water on the lake or later.
It was a well thought plan but the rain just postponed it." said the expert in a polite voice as he took out the sample from his pocket.
The eyes of Charles narrowed while Alex stood behind him silently.
"Bring that man." The knights pushed a muscular and young man in front of Charles and then pushed him on his knees.
"He is the stables man who had offered that horse to his highness." the man shook his head again and again with fear in his eyes.
"I did not. I offered the horse to the side and I did not know when they exchanged it." he was stuttering when the pressurizing aura of two men fell on him.
