Charles' eyes widened. He touched his back that was wet with his own blood with shock evident in his eyes.
"Knights, hold this insolent man." He was his advisor, his councilor, his men. The man whom he trusted more than Alex.
He glared at the man who smirked.
"You think you are still in power?" Arden tilted his head and stared at Charles as if he was a fool.
"What the hell.. Held him right now?" Charles shouted again.
The room has six maids and a dozen knights but none of them come forward. His eyes widened and he stared at all of them. Only to see them smiling and gloating.
He staggered on his feet and held the wall when the man raised the dagger again.
"Do you know, this is your son's favorite dagger? He had used this to attack many. Most of the knights recognize this dagger." Arden chuckled. His deep and sinister eyes were filled with malice.
Only then did Charles notice that Arden was wearing gloves.
