[Bonus chapter] Threat Of Suicide

"Thud!" Alex scowled as he stared at both of them when they both looked at him with shock.

Ethan closed his eyes and recalled all the things that happened and realized that it was strange that there was blood on the clothes of the woman and she was the only one who was left there while everyone else was saved and there were no guards near her.

"Damn! She was too cunning. It all makes sense now." he nodded his head as he realized he was a fool to not realize it first.

"Go and ask all of them to stand up." Ethan nodded without another comment and asked all the girls with dark hair to stand up while showing his position to them.

The girls were confused but did not dare to disobey a knight on duty. Ethan stared back at Alex, once all of the girls stood up but Alex only shook his head.

Ethan apologized and told them it was just a confusion before coming back to seat.

"Now what! Shall I go and look again?" Alex thought for a second before nodding. His gut feeling was telling him that the girl did not get a chance to leave.

She was still there! He could sense it. But where? Where was she hiding? He felt that she was in the same room, she was staring at him and mocking him for his actions.

"Wait! How did you know that the girl is not one of them?" asked Olivia from Ethan when Ethan stood up and left the table and she followed.

Alex did not ask him to wait. In fact, he treated him like thin air for which she was glad for once.

She wanted to know what she had to hide to be in the safe zone too when he looked back at her but did not want to ask him directly since it might create doubt in his mind.

"By height! Master has a good sense of height and weight even if he had not seen the girl's face.`` She was glad that she had wrapped a large amount of cloth on her body when she had disguised. It was for saving herself from the attack of daggers and knives but it helped her since he was looking for an average weight girl now while he was a slim boy.

"Alright, then go and look for the girl. I am going home and enjoying my day." she rubbed salt on the fade of the man who did not care much this time. He was looking too serious to think about his holiday.

Olivia walked past Tavern who passed her a glance but did not give any reaction.

With a sly smile on her face, she walked towards the prostitution house in the same form. Changing the disguise was dangerous but she could always buy a girl as a man. No one would doubt if she would pay a good sum for the lady.

She took a locka carriage and reached there in no time but she frowned when she noticed that there was a lock on the door.

"Oh boy, are you looking for this kind of place in broad daylight?" an old man chided when he looked at the bewildered boy who was staring at the lock on the building when Olivia finally raised his head.

"Good thing that the place is closed by the knights or who knows how many boys like you waste there day and night here. Shame on you!" the old man shook his head as he hit Olivia with his stick and left from there.

"Knights? Could it be!" she could not think of any other knights who were so thrilled in poking their nose in the matter of others as much as Alex.

"That man! Why could he not leave me alone?" she shouted with gritted teeth as she walked back.

She had to find a way to know what happened to the girl. She had taken the blame of the murder she had not done. If it came to an upright man like Alex, she was sure he was going to punish her badly and she had to save her from that!

But how! How could she get close without getting suspicious? She couldn't tell him that she was the one who had killed all of them. It was just the start of her revenge!

With fidgeting steps, she took another carriage and went back to the inn where she had left them but they were already gone. It had been hours!

"Hey, do you know a knight named Alex who was often found in these streets? Do you have any idea where he lived?" the old man scoffed and stared at her as if she was a fool!

"Do you think the knights are at your disposal? Do you not know they have important tasks to do? If you have any problem, go and ask the guards there." and left! He just walked away after scolding her!

Her mouth turned agape and then she stomped on her foot and ran towards the guards.

"Hey, do you know where the light Alex is?" she asked in a worried tone showing urgency so that the man did not dismiss her like the old man when the guard frowned.

"Who do you think we are! Are we his assistants to know where he is! Who is he, an emperor?

If you have any work then tell us or else leave. Do not waste our time!"

"........." she had thought that everyone admired him for his courage, bravery and strong feats. Who would have thought that others bore so much hatred towards the hero of the empire.

"Well, if you say so! He had promised my sister to marry her and promised that he loved her a lot but now he just vanished and sister is threatening that she would suicide if he would not come to take her! Tell me, what shall I do now?"
