Unwavering Courage

The door closed behind them leaving Rama and Ivana by themselves behind the palace. Rama suddenly sighed and left Ivana's hand.

She stopped walking as well and looked around as if she was looking for a spot where she can sit down.

Ivana stood there watching her wondering why she brought her out of the palace. Rama turned saying "I want to sit". "And what does that supposed to do with me?" Ivana asked her raising an eyebrow.

Rama didn't expect such reply from her but she did eventually. "So I want you to get me a place to sit" Rama answered resting her hands on her waist.

Ivana shook her head severally looking for another answer to give to her but nothing came. She sighed and walked past her looking for some woods to prepare her some seat.

After searching for a while, Ivana found some woods nearby so she quickly went for them and prepared a seat for her. She raised her head and looked back at Rama who was watching her quietly.

She didn't know if she should tell her if she's done or not. Besides, she can see she's done preparing a seat for her. Rama walked up to her "excuse me" she said and Ivana paved way for her to have her seat.

Ivana left her standing at the other side "why did you bring me here?" She asked her but no response came. "Didn't you hear me talk?" She asked again but the princess ignored her question standing up from her seat.

She left her behind while she made her way deeper into the forest . Ivana cursed and followed her from behind. "She's so arrogant and stubborn" she said and Rama suddenly stopped walking.

She turned and looked at Ivana creasing her brows because she heard what she said behind her. "I heard that" she said to her.

"And I don't care if you heard it or not because it the truth" she answered. Rama swallowed the lump that formed in her throat trying to figure out what to say to her.

No one had ever talked back at her but here she is with her so called teacher doing exactly what no one has ever dared to do before.

"I will let this slide away for today but not next time". She stated and turned again but Ivana's reply really got her this time around "You know you can't do anything to me so don't threaten me princess".

Rama was stunned. She wonder how someone like her would be so brave to talked back at her just like that. She shook her head in amusement and just gave a smirk.

She knows how to get her as time goes on but not today. At least she had to enjoy the little freedom she got today but then she suddenly wondered why her uncle let her out today.

Come to think of it, he doesn't allow her to go out even if she's taking some guards with her then she decided to ask Ivana why since it might be because of her.

"Why did my uncle let me out today?" Ivana was shocked because she didn't expect such question from her. Her mind quickly drifted to that same question.

The princess's uncle doesn't allow anyone to be around the princess so why her. So many questions started running through her mind but no answers came then Rama asked her another question....

"Is it because...." She stopped talking and sighed because she has gotten the answer to her question already. Ivana sighed also since she wasn't ready to answer any questions she doesn't have answers to.

"Can we go back to the palace, it not safe here" Ivana broke the silence after them walking deep inside the forest. "No!" Rama answered stubbornly. "Why are you so hard and so stubborn?" Ivana asked her before she realized she spilled something out.

"I'm stubborn right?, then watch me" Rama answered and started running deeper into the forest. Ivana shrugged her shoulders hitting her forehead so hard. "Oh god!".

After standing there for a while, she expected the princess to return back to where she is but she didn't come. She couldn't traced her footsteps either and she started panicking.

"Oh no...." She rushed into the forest as well . "Princess!" She called out as she goes deeper but no response came. "Rama!" She called her with her name this time around but still no response. Fear started enveloping around her.

She couldn't trace her footsteps either and  Ivana couldn't help but get scared more. She wasn't holding her sword either and she felt helpless in the situation she had found herself because of this princess.

Why will a princess be giving her so much headache during her first stay in the palace. As she stood there contemplating on how to get to the princess, she heard a noise coming from the other side of the forest.

"Rama"! She screamed and rushed towards the direction where the noise came from. Her heart started beating so fast and she didn't understand why. She just hope the princess was safe.

Meanwhile, Rama was surrounded with some people she doesn't know. They held their swords aiming at her ready to attack her as soon as she tries something. Those people were sent into the forest by one of the kingdoms called Decria.

They were instructed to keep an eye on the palace and attack anytime they see anyone coming out of the palace with the princess.

Finally, the princess came out after staying in the forest for so many weeks. They had no time to waste on her. The group leader raised his sword reader to strike at the princess then someone threw a stone at him.

They all turned quickly and saw a lady standing behind them looking angry. The leader was able to recognized her since he knew who Ivana was.

Fear was written on his face but he didn't show it. "Fight her!" He ordered then his men rushed towards Ivana to attack her. Ivana just gave a smirk and stood there looking for something to use.

Her eyes landed on a rod beside her then she quickly pick it up. Though she wasn't armoured, she doesn't have to be helpless.

She fought bravely against five men hitting them with the rod she held. She used it skillfully as if it was her sword she was using. While fighting and protecting herself, her attention was on the princess.

She doesn't have to lose sight of her while she fights those men. The leader knew none of them can defeat her so he turned towards the princess ready to hit her with his sword but he felt a sharp pain on his back.

He turned and saw Ivana standing directly behind him with blood oozing out from her head. Ivana looks hurt but was able to kill his men and now she's in for him.

He suddenly fell on his knees begging Ivana to spare his life. Rama was short of words and still in shock. She saw how Ivana beat those men all by herself and now here she is ready to devour the last one who was about to kill her.

Thankfully, Uncle Zeke and his men appeared from behind. He ordered them and they all positioned themselves while two of them quickly rushed towards the princess and captured the man that was kneeling.

Ivana fell unconscious and Rama quickly rushed to her and held her preventing her from falling. "Ivana!" She called out but no response came from her.

Her uncle quickly carried her on his horse and head towards the palace entrusting his niece to the guards ordering them to bring the princess to the palace as quickly as possible along with the man they captured.
