Chapter 1

The fresh summer breeze caressed Penelope's face and hair. She was informed that the social seasons were to begin in a couple of weeks, so she went over to the palace for an audience with Prince Jeffrey, her friend and lover.

She recalled his words. They so, so reassuring to hear and remember.

"Penny, I promise, when this year's social season begins, I will make our love known to the world with a public engagement."

Jeffrey was not in his chambers nor his office. So, she went to the third place he frequented usually. The garden.

It could barely be considered a garden, with trees as long as walls it looked like a mini forest.

This quick walk reminded her of their childhood. How Jeffrey would always hide behind the large trees and how she would lovingly call out his name.

"Jeffrey~" It was a muscle memory at this point. Still, no response. She went further and further until she heard the sound of clothing being shred. Quickly, she hid behind a bush four trees away from where the sound came from.

"Was that truly necessary, Jeff?" Asked the naked young woman with golden hair.

"No, but I wanted to see you like this."
