Once they'd gotten outside, Laurel checked to make sure that no one was following or listening before she lashed out at him.
"What the hell are you doing here, David?" She asked in anger.
"I came to see you." David responded. "And from what I can see, my coming has been really helpful to you."
"Like I needed your help before." Laurel told him and took some time to calm down. "Thank you for your little drama in there, at least it helped to put me in the clear for a while." She said calmly this time.
"Well at least your father truly gave me his blessings to go ahead if and when I wanted to."
"Did you truly speak to my father?"
"Oh, yes I did."
"Why on earth would you do that?"
"Because I wanted him to know how serious I'm willing to get with you. And to let him know that I didn't and would never shy away from my responsibilities..."
"Which are?" Laurel asked, folding her hands under her breasts.
