Chapter 42: Be Spontaneous!
Abigail’s POV
I had to drive past Elle every day I went to work, and when I passed her humble little road, I wanted to swerve off my main path to see her.
She was extra busy that week so my romantic fantasies would have to wait. In between her shifts she’d swing by on her lunch breaks. We’d share gentle kisses and she’d point out her favorite cats at the cat café.
On Friday afternoon, she came by to visit me and her favorite cat, Jasper.
“There he is!” she greeted him when she stopped by.
She petted him where he sat in his usual spot on the front counter. He was so big he barely fit on our counter space, and he constantly knocked over the paperwork I had filled out for our guest list with a flap of his fluffy tail. We had to put a sign up underneath his throne. It said: My name is Jasper! I am as cute as I am cranky, so pet at your own risk.
