Prologue

In the vast emptiness, two figures can be seen facing each other. One possesses a plain appearance, it has no eyes or nose and only has a disturbing grin on its face, the white figure can scare even those with the toughest of wills.

The other is a man possessing striking red hair with hazel eyes, unlike the white figure whose face contained joy, the redhead on the other hand contained wariness.

From the looks of these two, it's clear who has the upper hand between them.

"So? Aren't you going to speak?" The white figure spoke without opening its mouth, the disturbing smile still present on its face.

The redhead opens its mouth only to close it again, he has no words for this situation.

"Well, since you won't speak, I will start first." The white figure continued without moving its mouth.

"Simply put, you died a horrible death, with no speck of ash remaining. Normally, you would go to either heaven or hell, if your luck sucks, you'll go to nothingness."

The figure spoke without changing its expression. The contents of his words would've aroused shock or sadness from normal people.

However, the man listening was anything but normal.

"But, I, the benevolent and kind R.O.B will give you a chance to live! It may be in another world but isn't the dream of people in this world? Starting their own life as a 'protagonist'."

Despite its unchanging expression, the man can hear the change of its tone, shifting from joy to mockery.

"So? What do you say? It's kinda hurtful that my guest isn't replying at all." The white figure spoke with a fake hurt tone. It would've been believable if he wasn't grinning while saying it.

The redhead took a deep breath and let out all the tenseness on his body. Whether the white figure is speaking the truth or not. He was well aware of his situation, the best decision is to cooperate and gather information first.

"So you're saying I'm dead and you're giving me a chance to live again but in another world instead?" The man's cautiousness is understandable, only a fool would try to provoke a seemingly omnipotent being.

This is still an unbelievable moment for the man. He was pretty sure he wasn't that old, only in early 20s yet he died and now he's here in an unknown place with a god that can sneeze him out of existence.

Although he was surprised, he calmed himself down to think about how to solve this problem… or if it can be solved in the first place.

Nonetheless, he wouldn't lose anything, it's not like he has something of equal value that can interest a deity like the white figure sitting in front of him.

"That's right! Pretty great right? You must be excited about all the fun you can have after going to a different world. Maybe, have some harem like those fanfictions people like to read nowadays…." The R.O.B continues with its words, listing all the perks, the 'fun' that he'll have after he goes to a different world.

But for the man listening, he knew that there must be something going on here, it's just too good to be true after all.

"Can I ask a question first?" The redhead asks with a humble tone, purposely lowering his standing in the eyes of the god.

"Hehehehe, how polite. Well, since you ask nicely, who am I to stop your curiosity? Very well, you may speak." The white god replied with an amused tone.

"First of all, what's the catch?" The redhead man didn't believe for a second that this was gonna be free.

"The catch huh? Never really thought about that. After all, you don't have anything to give me." The figure spoke with a nonchalant tone.

'As expected, but why me?' thought the redhead with a frown.

"Why you? Well, you're not the first and certainly won't be the last, and yes I can read your mind." The god spoke casually.

"Of course you can read my mind." The man facepalm to himself.

"Hehehehe… "

"Since there's no point in asking, can you tell me your reason? Is it out of duty or personal?" The man decided to go straight to the point. There's no point in delaying this kind of thing.

"Hmm? Didn't you hear what I said? I said I'll give you a chance to live in another world, there's no catch… " the grinning R.O.B said his previous words.

"It'll be up to you, whether you accept it or not. You'll find out eventually what I mean anyways… if you accept it that is."

The man pondered on the god's words. After some time, he ask another question,

"Say, if I don't accept it, where would my soul go?"

"As I said, it depends on your luck, whether it's heaven, hell or nothingness. Just imagine it as a gacha but real life instead."

The redhead has to pick a decision, either accept the offer and reincarnate on another world. Whether it's good or not is debatable, or deny it and pray to your luck that you'll go to heaven.

"Fine, I'll accept it." To be honest, he wants to live again. He just hopes that the world he ends up in isn't some cultivation world where people can bust galaxies with the slap of their dicks or anything that would make his life some tragedy like Berserk.

"Wise decision, I'm sure you'll like it, Trust me bro." Picking up one of the most unreliable lines in his past life, the god assured him.

"So what now? Do I go there immediately?" The redhead asks with a curious tone.

"Well, You won't be able to get a wish like oth-"

"What? Why?" The man rudely cuts off the god from speaking.

"The world I'm sending you isn't particularly dangerous. In fact, it's pretty normal… as normal as it can get." The god replied lazily, not a bit bothered by the rude action of the man.

"Besides, just because you won't get some fancy wishes, doesn't mean I'll be stingy. I'll give you a little bonus, something that you'll definitely need. Trust me bro." God really likes that phrase.

"Now do you have any last questions? I'm in a good mood so maybe I'll answer it." The white god still spoke with its usual tone.

"Why are you doing this? I don't understand why someone of your level would do something so utterly pointless, even if you're bored." The redhead spoke with a raised eyebrow.

"Oh… I guess.." Purposely dragging its words, the white figure spoke with a low voice.

"It's because I'm bored. No actual reason, and EVEN if there's one, you won't get it, a puny mortal like you who judges things based on efficiency could never get what I mean."

For the first time, the white figure stopped grinning and its mouth turned into a flat line, showing an expressionless face to the redhead man.

The redhead matches the god's expression with his own. They both continue to stare at each other until..

"I guess you're right, there's no point in me knowing this, and thank you for the second chance." The redhead closed its eyes and sighed. Understanding the gist of what the god means.

"Good, I'll be sending you off now, and I hope you aren't foolish enough like your predecessors, or else I would be really disappointed in someone I personally chose."

"I thought you said there's no reason?!" The man snapped from his pondering, clearly startled by the god's statement.

"Oops? Anyways, That was actually a lie, Teehee~" the god reverted back to its own 'cheerful' personality.

"Then-"

"Nope, I've answered enough questions for today, bye~" the god rudely cuts him off like what he did to it earlier.

A white flash appeared and after that only the white figure remained, signifying the start of the redhead's journey.

"Oh well, that was interesting :)."
