Corrupt God of Path of the Blood

I have revised the fiction and started writing it as a new novel. Those who want to read it can find it by typing Corrupt Cultivation System. This book will not continue. ------- Even the gods could fall. Corrupt One, one of the most powerful gods in the Dimension of the Gods, had the power of hundreds of thousands of believers with the "Blood of Darkness and Fire" Technique he had created. But the jealousy of the other gods united them all against one god, Corrupt One. This battle even caused rifts in the Dimension of the Gods. Realized he could not win, Corrupt One used the power of the believers to resurrect himself in a new body, but this came at a price. He failed to take his memory with himself and was cursed by the shattered part of his soul. Now his soul is condemned to a cruel life. He is still the same person, even if he is unaware of the power he once had. He did manage to bring one thing with him, though. The Corrupt Seal... Will he be able to bring the soul he carries inside him back to its deserved place? Or will the obstacles in his path put him back to the beginning? The story of a young man born from the dead. Only the darkest hearts can become one with demons. --- Author: The protagonist of this story is a young man who has grown up with various psychological problems and traumas. He knows he is weak, but instead of sitting and crying, he uses his intelligence to get what he wants. Of course it will be strong. Even very powerful. But there is a time for everything. The MC receives power not as a gift from heaven, but as a result of his own efforts. He often makes plans that require him to do many things to achieve them. He does not wait for fate to be kind to him. He takes from it what he needs. MC is not a psychopath who kills everyone he sees. However, he is not afraid to kill whoever he needs to in order to guarantee his job. He doesn't care how many deaths are on the way to his goal. At first, the MC may be scared, he may throw tantrums because of what he is going through in his inner world. He is not a robotic MC, completely removed from humanity. He has feelings. He has to deal with psychological problems and fights the stains they leave on his soul. He learns and grows stronger with time. MC is manipulative. The world expands as the story progresses. Not everything is revealed to the reader at the beginning. It is discovered together with the MC. The huge world contains many supernatural creatures, regions, techniques, places and more. If you want to read an MC who is morally corrupt, has psychological problems, cares about his own self-interest, conspires, plans, manipulates people, hides his power when he is strong and reveals it when necessary, you are in the right place. There may be some grammatical mistakes that are not big enough to affect the reading pleasure. It is updated every day.

She Knows

It was evening. Huan Wei had stayed with the slaves all day, not letting anyone come near Lei Lok and Jiao Bai. So everyone did their own work.

When the slaves gathered together, the bandits took the herbs they had gathered and handed out food. Lei Lok and Jiao Bai sat alone. Cao Jingguo did not sit with them this time. He had probably lost all respect for Huan Wei.

A few of the slaves were being whipped. Ai Tung was not one of them. Huan Wei was very eager to whip him. But he was given a different job.

He went to the big fire in the center of the tents. The bandits were eating the meat they had cooked. Huan Wei's mouth salivated. After all the slurry he had eaten all that time, he was now looking at a meal he had never eaten even in Bitter Sea Town.

As he sat down on one of the stones, one of the bandits threw a piece of meat at him. "Here, have some food."

They all started laughing at him, yet Huan Wei didn't care. With the first bite of meat, his whole body trembled. He could finally taste the flavor of a real meal.

He took another bite. And then another. Soon he was finished. He didn't know if this was all he was going to get. So he didn't reach for the meat in the middle. But he wanted it with all his heart. He wasn't satisfied.

"Eat if you're not full, Huan Wei." Lan Xifeng said, laughing elegantly. "It must taste good after the slurry."

Huan Wei took another piece while the bandits laughed. Ou Yu was eating the biggest piece again.

The woman kept her eyes on Huan Wei. When the young man felt her suspicious gaze on him, he stopped for a moment. But he was very hungry. So he kept eating.

"What does this woman want from me?" he thought. "Does she really think I have something to do with the Corrupt Areas? That is impossible. I'm clearly incapable of such a thing. She has no way of knowing."

Huan Wei's heartbeat suddenly accelerated. Fear filled him. "She saw...'" he thought as his eyes locked on the floor. "She saw the mark. That's why she took me out of the Corrupt Area. Because she saw the Corrupt Seal."

Huan Wei slowly took another bite of the meat. He knew that Ou Yu was still looking at him. This was not good.

So that was what this was all about. Picking him up from the Corrupt Area, not killing him even if there was trouble, Ou Yu bringing him into the group, those questions she asked...

"She knows more about the seal than I do." Huan Wei swallowed. If Ou Yu knew about the Corrupted Seal, what was she planning to do?

Huan Wei didn't know if his power could be taken away from him. He couldn't even voluntarily summon the seal. He didn't want it to be taken away from him, not knowing its origin. He had dreamed too much. He could not fall to the lowest depths again.

"No, no," he thought. "I can't let this happen. I have to get away from here as soon as possible."

His left hand began to itch. This made Huan Wei even more uneasy. He curled his hand into a fist and hid the seal. Yet this did not go unnoticed by Ou Yu.

"What happened?"

Huan Wei didn't know what to say as he looked at her. All the bandits had also turned to the young man.

Huan Wei remembered his aching arm. At that moment, his fear was greater than his pain. "My arm just hurts," he said. His voice sounded weaker than he thought. Ou Yu continued to stare at him without saying anything.

When the meal was over, the leaders went to their tents. The bandits went back to their duties. Huan Wei and Xin Hai were to keep watch over the slaves.

The young man was nervous. He couldn't forget Ou Yu's gaze. She seemed to be waiting for something. In Huan Wei's mind, all the pieces were falling into place. He felt he had to get out of here as soon as possible.

But Xin Hai was always by his side. If he tried to escape, he would definitely let everyone know. It wouldn't take them even a few minutes to catch someone like Huan Wei who knew no movement techniques.

All the slaves were asleep except Cao Jingguo. He was looking at Huan Wei. There was a strange anger in his eyes. He realized that Huan Wei had deceived him. Young man had pretended to be a good person and then revealed his true colors.

Huan Wei didn't pay any attention to him. Instead, he approached Xin Hai. "Xin Hai."

The man with the machete didn't look at him. "What?"

" Who is Ou Yu?"

"What do you mean?"

The young man took a deep breath. "She hardly works at all. She takes half of all the loot for herself. But she's still the leader of the group. Why are you following her? What makes her special?"

Xin Hai turned to look at him. There was doubt in his eyes. "Why do you ask?"

"Just curiosity."

"Hah," The man turned back to the front of him. "Ou Yu is the strongest among us. That's enough for her to be the leader."

"It can't just be that, can it? Is it really only because she's the strongest?"

"Where did these questions come from?" Xin Hai's brows furrowed. "If you have something to say, say it directly. Don't hide behind silly questions."

"I'm not saying anything, I'm just curious." Huan Wei replied calmly. "You all look like strong warriors. Ou Yu seems to have a tyranny over you."

"There is no tyranny." Xin Hai spoke. "Ou Yu allows us to make money from the service of slaves like you. We follow her."

"But when do you spend the money? I haven't seen any of you come out of the forest. I've been here for almost three months."

"You just got out of slavery. That's why you don't know. We don't stay in the forest in winter. Thanks to Ou Yu, we stay in one of the nearby towns. Everyone can have fun as they like."

"I understand."

Huan Wei walked away from him. Xin Hai didn't say anything either.

The young man was thoughtful. If he waited until winter, he could leave the group in the town they were going to. If he hid and ran away, they wouldn't be able to catch him. Yet winter was still a few months away.

He did not know Ou Yu's plan. Maybe his life would not be as long as a few months. Ou Yu might have been interested in the Corrupt Seal because she was a Blood Cultivator. Maybe she would even try to cut off Huan Wei's arm and get her hands on the seal. The young man wasn't sure what she would do.

Huan Wei was uncomfortable with the uncertainty in which Ou Yu was hiding. He hadn't spent enough time with her to get to know her. On top of that, Ou Yu was cautious around the young man because she knew about the seal on Huan Wei. This made it difficult for Huan Wei to understand her personality. Naturally, he could not predict her next move.

"This can't go on like this," he thought. "The others are afraid of Ou Yu. But his rule makes everyone uncomfortable. The bandits are greedy. I can use that. I just need to avoid revealing myself. If I am exposed, Ou Yu might kill me this time."

Lost in thought, he saw Cao Jingguo looking at him. The man was not asleep. He was just looking at Huan Wei with a slight frown.

The young man went over to his cage. "What are you looking at?" he said in a low voice.

"Nothing." Cao Jingguo lowered his eyes to the ground.

"Do you think it was voluntary, Jingguo? Do you think they gave me a choice and I chose this?"

"You don't seem to be bothered by this. You were so happy when you kicked Ai Tung."

"He deserved it. He betrayed me for protecting my own life. You know better than anyone how many weeks I've worked for them."

"How long will you lie, Huan Wei?" Cao Jingguo looked at him again. He and the young man locked eyes. "You think I don't understand your plan? You used all of us to achieve your goals. But congratulations. You have succeeded. You are no longer a slave. You can eat meat with them."

Huan Wei felt strange. This had been his plan all along. Yet being told this in this way aroused a feeling in him that he couldn't make sense of. It looked like anger. But it wasn't.

"No," he said. "I don't accept fate, Jingguo. I have the power to change fate. I will not end up like you. I will not rot in a cage."

"You turned out to be much worse than me, Huan Wei." Cao Jingguo laughed sadly. "I was scared when I came here. When I saw people coming at me, I defended myself. Then I saw that no one did anything bad to me, and I liked that. I bullied people to overcome my fear, yet you planned everything. You used us all for yourself. And when you were done, you threw us away."

"That's exactly what life is, Jingguo. You and I are almost the same. You could have done this. But you chose to be a slave. You walk the path that fate forces you to walk. I'm not as weak as you. I have created a chance for myself and I will not let it disappear."

Huan Wei turned around and started to walk away. His left palm ached.
