"Follo her," Ruby ordered the sergeant that had been standing close to Lily Malum. The one that she had not tampered with his mind yet. "Do not let her know that you are following her," Ruby said. "She has a way of clouding people's minds..."
The soldier nodded and tuned around smartly to go to do Ruby's bidding.
Ruby turned around and went back to the chair that she had sitting on. She didn't sit down but just stood there facing the other side of the tent. With her eyes closed, she heaved a sigh of relief. She had been so angry and Ruby hated getting to that height -- or falling to the depth of anger. But Lily Malum had taken her there.
'Damn that woman,' Ruby thought.
"Would you have anything, my princess," Greta asked.
"Water," Ruby replied curtly.
"Princess..." Veni called as he walked toward her.
"Not now," Taff said to Veni stopping him in his tracks.
