In Limbo

Nova turned around and realized that she was in a strange place and she could not recognize anything on the plain field and she was sure that she had never been here. She wondered where everyone else was and why she could not see a single house in sight. She walked aimlessly, hoping to run into someone soon until the grass under her feet turned to a dusty path and then as she walked on she could see what looked like structures in the distance.

When she got closer to the structures she saw people moving about and as she got closer to them she looked in surprise at their clothes, the women and men were dressed in coarse looking linen and the structures were flimsy houses built out of wood, it looked like a reenactment of a slave settlement and a pretty good one because it looked very real.

Nova walked towards one of the women who was sitting outside one of the log cabins washing up her little one.
