Zatanna and magic

Adrian pov :

I was given food by Beastboy so i made small talk with him.

He really is a fun character. He is a little childish but funny. I could have found about current world more but didn't do it. He is naive and he will spill secrets quickly. And if i try to get knowledge out of him that will raise suspicion more.

So i was just bored. That is why i asked him to bring Zatanna to me. As that was the only thing i could do at the moment. And he did.

Zatanna came in the evening. I just wanted to see if she could sense my magic.

Zatanna pov :

I really didn't expect Adrian to be so powerful. He literary could beat Hawkgirl if he used his full power.

I know he was holding back. I know he had some mystical powers that even i could not sense from him.

But i guess he wanted to use his physical abilities to fight with Hawkgirl. He also talked something with her and it seemed pretty intense.

I don't know why but seeing him doing that made me hurt a little and when he fell down after the fight i really wanted to meet him but i can't.

How do i meet him i mean he is just a acquaintance. But the feeling he gave when i first talked to him it felt so good and warm along with his pretty face and calm persona i really wanted to be close to him.

As i was thinking, Beastboy came and asked me if i could meet Adrian. And i was very excited. My wishes just came true without me doing anything so i hurriedly started to go to his room but stopped.

I felt self conscious for some reason and started to dress a little and took me a lot longer than i thought. I just hope he is not angry.

I entered his room and saw he was sitting in a lotus position and i could feel it now it was more warmer than before.

There was also a familiar feeling coming from him and i know what it was. Magic. Yes the same magic that i use but his was a little different. It felt more stronger and mystical. But anyway i walked close to and before i could say anything he smiled and opened his golden eyes and spoke " Hi, Zatanna it's nice to meet you."

" Ohh yes it's good to see you too." i returned his smile and told him.

" You look very pretty today. I mean we weren't not pretty before but now you look like an angel without wings. " he complimented me.

I was very happy and also a little embarrassed but it was a good decision to dress up. " Anyway i need a favour from you. I know i do not have much to give you or i not your closest person and an alien but i really need your help" he told me with a very pleading look.

How can anyone refuse this face? I looked at him and said " Don't worry even if you aren't very close to me or if you don't have anything to give me and if it doesn't hurt anyone i will help you."

" Thank you very much. I will repay the favour any way i can. No matter what you want i will definitely give it to you " he told me with a very happy look.

" Now tell me what do you know about magic" he told me.

" A lot actually but my magic and your magic can be different " I went full teacher mode and told him a lot about magic.

He also asked me some questions and i was impressed by his knowledge. It was also very refreshing to talk with someone about magic.

After i finished he told me that he had magic and he had some problems. Apparently he uses affinity type magic. And he told about how that magic works. It really was interesting.

Then he told me about grimoires. With grimoire he can cast very easily. So he suddenly waved his hand and golden white book appeared before me.

If i wasn't a magic user i would be stunned. But summoning is very common. But with just a wave of his hand he summons a book it really is amazing.

Then he opened the book without touching. It floated and he picked up a glass and broke it. But with some chanting the glass shards glowed white light and restored completely. It was different from when he did it at the training room. But amazing none the less.

" Isn't it amazing? "

" Uhh yes it is."

" But the problem is my spell list is gone. That means i forgot my magic. And i need to relearn it. But i can't learn every affinity type. I need to learn gravity and soul type magic. That's where i need your help. "

" Okay i understand. I will help you but you need to keep your promise. You will owe me a favour. " i told him very sternly.

" Yes my gracious master" he told me sarcastically. I nodded and saying good bye went to gather some books for him.

Adrian pov :

That went well. I guess i need to wait now and see what she teaches me. If i can learn some magic of DC along with my gravity and soul magic it would be great. And i can also get some progress done with Zatanna. Now, let's just wait.

Wonder Woman pov:

" Hey Kendra what are you doing? I heard you got beat up by a kid " i asked Hawkgirl.

She looks a little better than her gloomy self.

" Ohh that's how you greet me Diana. I thought you were better. But you heard wrong. The kid was way stronger than i expected him to be."

" Wow never thought you would complement someone. But i guess you are doing well."

" Yes i am. But what are you doing here? "

" Ohh i am here to keep an eye on the boy."

" What! No i alone am enough. You don't need to keep a look on him."

" No can do. Orders from the League and it was either me or Hawkman. So you think about it. "

" Tsskk. Don't talk about that bastard. I was on a good mood."

" Look i don't know what is going on between you guys but you should give him a chance. He was very adamant about you. "

" I know Diana but he is a jerk sometimes. He is aggressive and arrogant. I don't like guys like them."

" Okay fine. Don't talk about him anymore. Tell me about the boy. Did he really fight you."

" Yes he is really strong. He is very durable but his battle prowess is so so. It almost looks amateurish. But his battle sense fills that gap."

" Hmm you right. Maybe i should fight him and teach him a little thing or two "

" Noo! You don't need to teach him ( i can't let this woman come close to him). I can teach him myself."

" Why am i not worthy for him? Now i really want to do it. And i will. You won't stop me."

" Ohh yeah says who. I can teach him better. "

Aqualad walks into the room to see our two heroins fighting for a single person. He sighed and talks " Why don't you ask the person you want to make a decision for? "

They stopped and looked at him then Hawkgirl spoke " Yes that's a great idea he will definitely go for me. "

" We will see about that."

They both rushed to Adrian's room. Meanwhile Adrian " Achoo,Achoo,Achoo. Not this again. Who could be now? "
