Conqueror of Magic

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Read on mobile device for best experience. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Having lost his parents at a young age and not having access to a home since it had burned to the ground after a sudden outburst of flames, Arthur was taken in by the council of sorcery. Not because they had felt sympathy for him but simply due to the fact that even though his parents had been burned to ashes, Arthur did not even have a single scratch on his body. Now intrigued by the boy, the council of sorcery sent their most obedient servant; the one they call “the inspector” to relocate Arthur into a prestigious school so that his strength could bloom so that they could have a powerful ally in the future. Even so, the council of sorcery commanded that the school treated him like trash. This was because Arthur’s parents were quite powerful in their prime and as such were sought after by the council of sorcery. Even though it was an amazing offer for Arthur’s parents, they refused which invoked the long lasting rage of the council of sorcery. In a world full of factions that try to sway the tides of power to their own side, Arthur must now learn how to grow strong so he could finally find the person who had killed his parents and get revenge for the years of torment that the council of sorcery had put him through. Although he just might get quite a bit more than he bargained for. —————————————————————————————————————————— Note: This story will be quite long since there are a lot of things that need to be covered in the story. Sadly though, I’m fueled by compliments so the more people that enjoy this novel, the more I can write. Schedule plan for this novel is 2 chapters a day, 1000+ words each or if does quite well, it will be moved up to 3 chapters a day (same number of words each). —————————————————————————————————————————— Hope you enjoy this novel though, happy reading.

Confidence

"Hello Yosel," said Arthur as he had been teleported to a fancy library of sorts where Yosel as well as Archibald were talking in.

"Oh wow! I can't believe it's you Arthur! You haven't changed one bit," said Yosel as he got up from the fancy red couch he was sitting on to hug Arthur.

"What's wrong, you don't seem too excited to see me after so long," said Yosel as he made a sarcastic sad face.

"I already know you're in a great bit of conflict all because of me. I'm sorry that I caused you so much trouble-" said Arthur before Yosel cut him off.

"No no, don't say that. It's not your fault. I was planning on leaving the organization sooner or later. You just gave me a reason to do it sooner," said Yosel with a lie as he smiled. The truth was that he was going to stay with the council of sorcery. For quite a bit longer or even until he died.

"So there's no reason for you to blame all of this on yourself. I know the decision I made," said Yosel with a smile but Arthur knew that he was lying so that Arthur wouldn't feel guilty.

"Then at least let me help you out. You said that you would teach me how to do the thing that I did inside the contest you put me in about a year ago to compete for the title of the strongest person in the country," said Arthur which Yosel nodded as he knew what Arthur was talking about.

That being a technique of sorts that Arthur had used inside the tournament to change the entire plane of existence that everyone within a 1 kilometre radius was on. That being a whole dystopian world where they were all floating above the clouds and Arthur controlled how everything there worked. It was Arthur's ideal dimension.

"Wait Yosel, are you saying that he's capable of using dimension expansion?" Archibald asked to which Yosel nodded.

"Arthur, this is my comrade Archibald. Archibald, this is my student Arthur," said Yosel to which the two shook hands.

"I've heard a lot about you. There were quite a bit of news on you a while back. After all, just like us you're a target of the council of sorcery. I mean since you killed the principal to your old school and also made an enemy of the CEO of the largest oil mining companies. Actually you probably only know his son being names Leon. You've made quite a lot of enemies. You even enraged the CEO of the biggest gold mining company in the world as well after you not only humiliated his son but also his bodyguards. You went on to lock yourself in prison and escaped it right after. You're a living legend to those who know about the underworld's news. Of course the council of sorcery tried to hide this information as it wouldn't look good for their image as well as the image of their allies as well however they still see you as an enemy. I mean if it wasn't for us, they would be trying to hunt you down instead," said Archibald which surprised and even creeped Arthur out a bit by how much he knew about him.

"Ignore him, he has trouble getting along with people," said Yosel before turning his attention back to Arthur.

"Anyway, I'll teach you what you want. It's not that hard but it takes quite a bit of time. Specially for someone like you," said Yosel which confused Arthur as he had always been able to learn what he wanted quite easily.

"What you want to learn is called dimension expansion. More specifically the real name is personal dimension expansion. It allows you to quite literally change an environment to be whatever you want it to be however in most cases, your dimension is always going to stay the same. Most of the people who even learned this are only able to change a few meters of the area closest to them to fit what they want however the one that you used was about a kilometre wide. The problem is that to use your dimension expansion, you're quite literally forcing your will open others. In other words, your willpower has to be more powerful than everyone else that will be affected by it since you're going to technically force them to see things. A dimension expansion can only occur when your will power is so powerful that it overrides what anyone else believes and solely believes that you are above them which allows you to make your dimension expansion take place," Yosel began to explain.

"But you see Arthur, the problem isn't that your dimension expansion takes up too much space. In fact it's a good thing since you're so powerful. The real problem is that to use it in the first place, you have to have utter confidence in yourself. This is a problem for you due to the way you were raised. Since you were always taught to think low of yourself from a young age, you never really got a chance to build up your self confidence. As such, it'll take you a long time to erase that build in mind set. That's the real problem that you'll face," Yosel explain to which Arthur simply grit his teeth and gave a quick reply.

"I'm fine with that. Just tell me what I need to do and I'll do it. I'm willing to do anything to attain this power," said Arthur to which Yosel seemed kind of reluctant to tell Arthur something.

"You see, the problem is that there is no exact method to achieving this. You just have to resolve it yourself and only you know what to do to get rid of any problems you have with yourself. However having spent so much time with you, I believe that I know what you need to achieve the state you're looking for. I think it's about time that you go into your first dungeon," said Yosel with a smile.
