I rubbed my nose since it felt like I just banged into some stiff but soft wall. I tried to picture what the man looked like but with my power on both eyes at 700, it almost felt like I was staring at a corrupted image.

" Sir, I'm very sorry to bump into you like that. I'll be going on now, have a pleasant evening. ", I scurried over to get out of harms way.

Then, out of nowhere. I felt someone grab my hand tightly and pulled me into what it seemed like an embrace.

What in the world?

I looked up, I assumed it was the same man from before. His hands were wrapped around my waist and my hands were pressed against his chest.

" Look sir, I'm sorry for bumping into you so carelessly! I'm not wearing my glasses and I didn't bring my contact lenses. Now could you get your filthy hands off me before I call security? ", I said in a stern tone.

" You calling the security team on me? ", he asked bluntly.

I nodded.

Wait. That voice.. It sounded very familiar.

I looked up and squinted my eyes to get a somewhat at least a clear image of him.

My face grew closer and closer to his without me even realizing what I was doing.

I finally got close enough to tell his appearance. My eyes widened as my body jolted out of the mans embrace.

" AH BOSS! I MEAN SIR. ARGH. MY APOLOGIES FOR ACTING SO HARSHLY TOWARDS YOU! ", I said as I bowed down for forgiveness.

I kinda got deja vu about me bowing down towards William.

Good gawd, out of all people I wanted to bump into, it just had to be William. How freaking embarrassing!

But remember, I wasn't his assistant Ryan, I was a regular employee named Selena.

However, what was with that weird embrace a few seconds ago?

" Hey, I'm simply doing what any normal boss would do to their employee who just recently came back from a sick leave. ", William said.

" Pulling them into an embrace?? ".

He smirked.

" No, instead prevent one imbecile from banging herself into another wall due to her unbelievably terrible eye sight. ".

WHAT? WHO GIVES HIM THE RIGHT TO CALL ME AN IMBECILE? I MEAN, I AIN'T ONE EITHER WAY!

" Ehem. Sir, my apologies for being an i-imbecile. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to get back to work. ".

I tried running away from the lions den but as expected, I got pulled back in.

William's hand firmly gripped onto my wrist. Jeez, I forgot this dude has a massive amount of strength. I gotta ask him in my male form which gym he hits..

In the midst of that, I heard a few gossips surrounding the both of us.

Dang, all this misunderstanding and awkwardness was just because I left my glasses at home.

INCREDIBLE. I should be awarded with the worst luck of 2021.

" Sir. With all due respect, you're causing quite a scene for an audience.. ", I whispered.

" Follow me. ".

Next thing I knew, I was being dragged off by William.

As if stirring up a scene was mad enough, he had the audacity to drag me out. Haih-

I tried resisting him and setting my arm free but it was straight up just pointless.

After a good 10 minutes of constant dragging, we ended up in the parking lot of the building in front of a Mercedes.

" Holy sh*t, this car is more than my yearly rent. What the - ".

Was he planning on taking me somewhere? BUT WHERE? LITERALLY NONE OF THE STORES NOR RESTAURANTS WERE OPEN AT THIS HOUR?! IT'S ALMOST 1AM!

He opened the car door for me and my body just went with the flow and eventually I ended up sitting in my bosses car.

" Uh... sir.. if you plan on grabbing something to eat. Unfortunately, none of the stores nearby us are open. How about we just get back to work? Ha-ha. ", I requested as William placed my seatbelt on.

" We're not heading out to eat. ".

Huh?

" Like I said, I'm doing what any normal boss would do for his employee. Now, key in your address, I'll drive you back so that you can retrieve your glasses and back to work. ".

Eh?

EHHHHHHHHH!?!?!?!?!?!?

HOW DID IT END UP LIKE THIS?!?!?

" S-SIR! PLEASE. Doing such a thing is clearly unnecessary ! I can order a cab back home! Or just walk! Yeah! ".

Then, I felt a painful flick on my head.

" KIYO! Argh.... I'm assuming that's a no.... Or you're probably thinking that I'm an actual imbecile. ".

" Good. So you're keeping up to date with the current situation. ".

The devil stays the same till the end.

I keyed in my address on the screen and William was surprised.

" You live in the same building as your cousin, Ryan? ", he asked.

I nodded. I just gotta get back home, grab my glasses and hop back into his car and drive back to work. If he had plans on seeing Ryan, it would be impossible and it might drive him haywire that his assistant went missing..

" Same place as well, my parents are out of the country for a while. So, I decided to crash at my cousins place. ", I continued.

I glanced over at William, he seemed to look, furious? Upset? He wasn't fond of the idea of me staying in the same place as Ryan? Don't tell me, he was, jealous?

AH-HA! NO FREAKIN WAY! THIS GUY WAS JEALOUS?!?!

LMAO!

Wait. He was jealous over Ryan...

" Sir, are you romantically interested in Ryan? ".

A moment of silent arrived and the atmosphere turned cold.

Ugh, what was I thinking? Asking something so odd so bluntly, I truly am an imbecile.

" Ah! Forgive me sir for asking- ".

" Yes. ".

What?

" Yes, I'm romantically interested in Ryan. ".

WAIT WHAT. WAS THIS SOME SORT OF CONFESSION INDIRECTLY TO ME? I MEAN, MY MALE SIDE?!?!
