Chapter 2

Everyone in the room was still shocked by what they had just heard and were still trying to process it, finally Henry Watson, Alexa's dad spoke up "well, if it was the swelling in the cerebrum that caused the loss of memory, then why was she in a coma for two years" Dr Nora replied " well you've not been with us for the past two years so you could not know, I've explained everything to Miss Tory here bit i will explain again. The Cerebrum performs a lot of functions, it is the seat of intelligence, it controls voluntary actions like movement of legs, arms and speech, also it controls memory, learning, imagination, reasoning, judgement and consciousness" Henry processed this and asked," Ok , then how do we know the ones that were affected" "Before you came we did a test on voluntary actions and we know about her consciousness and memory, so we only need to conduct tests for the others", " Mr and Mrs Watson can i see you in my office, please" with these words, Dr Nora left the room accompanied by Kate and Henry.

Tory sat down by her sister's bed to comfort her because out of everyone Alexa was the one that was shocked by everything that had happened since waking up two days before. "I know this must be hard for you but you have to stay strong okay, no matter what we are going to get through this together" she assured Alexa, "okay, i think i can trust you, but those other two people, not sure i can trust them, besides the doctor mentioned that they have not been here for the past two years, where were they" Tory thought for a while then finally answered " I'm not too sure about that" Alexa looked away and after some seconds of silence she finally said " I'm not sure if its me or my sense of judgment that is faulty but i think i need to get out of here" Tory was shocked to hear her sister say that as she had been thinking about the same thing but she didn't tell her sister this.

Kate and Henry came back from the doctor's office and told Tory to follow them, outside they immediately lashed out at her " why didn't you tell us that you had found your sister, i am your mother, I've been going around asking after her for the past two years but to no avail, and that stupid doctor was talking to us anyhow because she believed that we knew about Alexa but didn't care, did you think keeping her a secret meant we wouldn't still get her married to the man of our choice, well that is still what is still going to happen" while Kate was saying this Tory was busy hatching the plan on how she was going to get her sister out of the hospital without getting noticed or arousing suspicion. "Also don't think that the deal with the Greys are off, at least from the deal i will get a rich son in-law, so get prepared you are leaving tonight, we are getting Alexa off your hands" Henry sad and turned to Kate, "call Nick Brown, i have a plan to make Alexa think that he is her fiancee, what are you waiting for Tory, go and start packing, we'll be back to take good care of Alexa, we need to get our things" when Tory heard this she saw an opening to get her sister out of the hospital, so she said with a smile, "let me go and start packing, its been long since i had a long hot bath" she played along with them so that they could leave her with Alexa until they came back instead of them going together, "but what will two hours take away from my long bath, so you guys should go home first, then when you come back we can switch places" they believed her and told her they would be back. On getting to the room Tory saw that Alexa was already getting drowsy so she told her " we're getting out of here now and fast"
