Dying To Be Reborn Part 1

Jiraiya had no idea what the situation even was or if he could even save her. Right now, he could not even see the enemy, but yet she could. He could tell by how she was acting and from how she was talking to someone earlier in her room. But what he wanted to know was what was it that made the walls of the building explode and why was she flying out of the apartment as if someone was holding her. It was almost as if someone was trying to protect her.

"Jiraiya…." Gamakichi could see Jiraiya's clenched fist. He could tell that Jiraiya was restraining himself from jumping out there to protect Yuki.

"I know… I will move if I see her about to die." Jiraiya spoke through clenched teeth. He did not dare move too recklessly until he understood the situation.

Yuki, on the other hand, was staring at the thing called a hollow while Rukia was fighting it with great interest because she had never seen a monster such as this before. She did not understand why this thing was even attacking them.

"What are you doing!? Get out of…. ARGH!" Rukai turned to yell at Yuki to tell her to run, only for the hollow to reach out and grab her.

"Not good!" Yuki jumped up to her feet and went running forward. "If I still have my psychokinesis, then now is the time to work!"

Yuki's hair began to flutter as a green light began to envelop her body. She had not tested her powers since she came to this world, so she did not know if they would work or not but now seeing the faint green light on her body, Yuki let out a sigh of relief as she reached out toward some rubble. Her eyes glowed with green light as the rubble began to shake, and beads of sweat began to form on her forehead. She was using everything she had in order to lift this rubble. As it began to hover in the air, she used the last of her mental energy to toss it at the hollow that was just about to eat Rukia.

"Please hit!" As the rubble flew through the air, Yuki watched in anticipation to see if it would work. But sadly, just because you wished for something to work does not mean it would. The rubble flew right through the hollow and smashed into the ground a few feet away. The only thing it did was cause the hollow to stop its actions of biting Rukia.

"What, why!?" Yuki couldn't understand. The hollow was smashing everything else, but now the rubble passed right through it!

"Yuk, just run! That won't work!" Rukia yelled out.

"Won't work my ass! My dream was to become an S-class hero just like my nee-san! I will not run away when you need my help!" Yuki knew she was too weak. But she did not care. She would not run away when someone needed her help. If she left Rukia now, she would die. There was no doubt about that.

Yuki clenched her little fist and ran forward. She knew that her body could touch those who were just a soul. Since that was the case, she would use her hands and fist! If she can just give Rukia a chance to escape, it would all be worth it! They might not know each other. Rukia may be a shinigami and has nothing to do with her. But…. Yuki could not leave her behind no matter what….

Yuki ran forward and brought back her little fist and coated it with her psychokinesis, and threw her fist forward. Her fist slammed into the hollow, but all that happened was a jolt of pain that ran up her arm.

Rukia looked at the little girl who was trying with everything she could to help her and felt warmth growing inside her, but she did not wish for this girl to lose her life when she was so young. Even if her soul was not the original one, the girl still showed she had the courage to stand up to protect those around her. "You idiot, just run!"

"No!" Yuki was being stubborn. Tears rolled down her cheeks. She wanted to know why she could not be like her elder sister. Why couldn't she save at least one person?

[Hmmm… You wish to save her little one?] A voice filled Yuki's head.

She did not care where this voice was coming from. She only saw a chance that might help the situation. With no hesitation, Yuki yelled out: "Yes, I want to save her!"

[Then take her sword and stab yourself in the heart. Take her powers…. Only then will you be able to save her. But to think…. The soul society even reaches to this world now….]

Yuki had no idea what this voice was saying, but she really had no time to think. She stopped punching the hollow and turned to look at Rukia, who was still holding her sword, but the hilt and her hand were trapped between two fingers of the hollow sticking out. Gritting her teeth, Yuki pushed her psychokinesis to the limit and rose off the ground, and flew towards the sword.

She took a deep breath as her eyes landed on the sword. "You better not be lying to me!"

Rukia heard Yuki's cry and her eyes went wide as she saw Yuki flying toward hers. "Wait if you do that!"

*Shink!*

It was as if time had stopped. Only the sound of a blade slicing through flesh could be heard. Blood sprayed out of Yuki's back as the blade pierced through her body. Jiraiya's eyes went wide. He quickly jumped off the rooftop and began running towards Yuki. But just before he got there, a sound filled the air.

[The time has come for a new dawn.]

White fox ears and twenty tails made of an overbearing chakra suddenly appeared….
