Ingrid Patels took the wheels of her car to drive towards the Dolphin Mansion after leaving Andrea at the wedding, to continue the next phase of their impeccable plan to ditch their wedding.
Meanwhile, the sudden arrival of the Country's President, whom Edward's Dad...Leonardo Reed, held with utmost respect and honor throughout his term as a Chief Justice of the county, and therefore, wouldn't tolerate any mistakes in his presence with regards to any error in the proceedings of the wedding, had Edward actually worried about the plan they put in place to ditched their own wedding.
The current ongoing excitement and surprises which were currently unfolding into a more chaotic scenario than what they had expected, had both Edward and Darren extremely tensed at the sudden turn of events.
What will happen to this current ambiance situation at the wedding when the news finally breaks outs about their canceled wedding? Or maybe, what if Edward ended up actually marrying his brother's girlfriend who was even pregnant for him out of desperation, just to save his family's honor and reputation?
Edward was now between a rock and a hard place, as he anxiously stood next to Damien thinking about the next solution to this situation. Especially when he looked toward his dad and saw how excited he was at the presence of the President. Edward also looked towards his brother Darren whose smile now wasn't reaching his eyes...out of tension maybe. So he moved aside to remove his phone and sent an urgent message to his to-be bride.
However, Ingrid was unaware of this huge cumbersome messy situation going on at the venue of her wedding as she drove down the road to the mansion. Then suddenly, her phone continuously beeped with messages from Edward Reed, but due to the soft music she was playing in the car she couldn't hear it.
But Edward's anxiety was killing him due to Ingrid's lack of response to his messages, and he couldn't call her too since the bride was already here and the priest was about to proceed with the ceremony.
Instead, he continuously sent a bunch of SOS texts to Ingrid who was currently driving at a top speed to get back to the Mansion before Andrea and Damien finished taking their wedding vows, and the guests' attention would suddenly be drawn to her and Edward as the next couple to present themselves for their vows.
Ingrid's phone continued to beep many times until finally, her attention was drawn to the screen when she saw Edward's many messages and SOSs.
Out of curiosity, Ingrid lost her concentration on the wheels and tapped the texts to read Edward's messages.
"Plan in jeopardy..abort! The President is here...we can't escape now!. And another read,
"Do you think we might have to get married as planned? We should have come clean from the beginning about not getting married, now things could get out of hand."
"Where are you? why aren't you answering my texts?
"Andrea is already at the altar and the wedding proceedings in about to begin...come now!"
Ingrid read all these texts from Edward and couldn't believe the shock that overtook her upon seeing the sudden arrival of the only person they least expected to make an appearance and ruin their perfectly laid-out plans...Johnathan Rahl, the president.
This sudden twist of his arrival had already sabotaged their entire plan into ashes. The only reason for the President's arrival was to witness Her and Edward get married, because of the high status and reputation of both families.
Ingrid's mind was suddenly blown into chaos about the next step to take out of this mess, since she definitely wouldn't consider getting married to Edward...not with the news of being pregnant for his brother. But also because, she hated a loveless marriage.
Ingrid had always thought a loveless marriage caused her mother to abandon her as a baby and never looked back once since she was growing up. So she wouldn't allow her baby to ever experience that awful pain of not being loved by both parents.
Therefore, thousands of thoughts were desperately running across Ingrid's mind for a way out when she ended up losing concentration on her car and ducked to avoid hitting a person on the road. Thereby, crashing her car into an approaching car on the opposite side of the road. They slammed into each other hard and Ingrid's car capsized and roll over to an awful position upside down, and she fainted, as a ceaseless amount of blood gushed from her head when she hit hard on her car door during the rollover.
The sound of pedestrians approaching the scene and the cries of help and panic were the last thing Ingrid heard before she went into unconsciousness.
"Someone should call 911...now!" a bystander who witnessed the accident scouted over to check on Ingrid and urgently ordered the others.
All the while, a girl was left standing not far from her in panic and crying her eyes out! She turned to her friend panicking...
"Do you think she would make it? It was all my fault, she swerved to avoid hitting me...I should have been careful!" The girl uttered in tears and worry.
"It's okay Cara...she is going to make it. The ambulance would be here in a minute. Calm down!" Cara's friend console her as she checked Ingrid's pulse then got up to hug Cara in worry.
Meanwhile, the clueless audience at the wedding were immense in their moments of happiness at the to-be couple who were currently standing at the altar, still staring into each other's eyes in admiration.
However, Andrea's thoughts were overwhelming her, as if echoing inside her mind. She had already classified Damien as a more good-looking guy than Edward Reed when they first met. But this was strange to her.
The butterflies in her stomach, the drumming of her heart as she neared him were simply magical. She remembered feeling that same emotion upon their first meeting...but this feeling right now was different, confusing, and rendered her breathless. Why now!
However, Both bride and groom kept drowning in each other's eyes, as if they were two lost lovers who were separated for a long time and were finally brought together in holy matrimony.
The heartbeats and breaths were never like before, both of them have never felt anything like this!..... like it was already meant to be.
When Damien stretched his hand to take hers, Andrea unconsciously tripped as she drew near to take his offered hand. But Damien reacted quickly to hold her from falling and they fell into each other's arms in a sensual embrace.
His perfume!
The fresh scent of his familiar perfume overwhelmed Andrea. It was her favorite perfume of all time...A very familiar scent she was accustomed to since childhood, as she took into its scent all tangled around her. Simply mind-blowing!
she could hear nothing,
she could see nothing,
she could touch nothing!
Just him... Just his breathtaking appearance was all she was aware of, as the familiarity of his unique perfume.
The couple's amazing time was short-lived as the priest cleared his throat to call their attention for the wedding to proceed.
The amazing atmosphere of the romantically suspenseful sweet melodies of violins mixed with the soothing voice of a beautiful song to welcome the bride a while ago, continuously enhanced the background of the couple's mind-blowing admiration for each other.
And the thoughts inside Damien's mind were another aspect to consider.
The moment Damien's gaze fell on Andrea, he exhaled sharply and all his emotions rose to its peak. All his awful mood swings and frustrations about this sham wedding, just melted like they never existed. It replaced his heart with a warmth he had never felt before.
A strange feeling tightened his heart, and an unexpected voice struck his mind at that moment.
"It's okay now! This was always meant to be! She is your fate, your other half, and your everlasting companion". Damien wondered why he had to remember that voice at that moment.
"This is strange!" he thought to himself.
Damien concluded that his mind was simply playing tricks on him so he brushed the voice off.
But at that instant, when she lifted her eyes to meet his, for a second, he forgot to breathe.
Her mesmerizing eyes, her slender figure, and her enchanting steps down the aisle had him breathless the entire time. Just beautiful!.
All these emotions were entangled in Damien's thoughts as he got intoxicated at the sight of her. He had never felt anything like this to any woman before. Not since his unfortunate incident. This was not him, he had to calm down and clear his thoughts.
In a nutshell, Damien had always seen all these as a sign of weakness and an intrusion into all the years of abhorrence and pain he lived through. So It was simply impossible to feel these emotions in barely a few hours he had met her.
However, before Damien could realize what was happening, he unconsciously offered her his hand which he found very strange. Andrea on the other hand, took his offered hand and Damien felt his heartbeat strangely once more.
Andrea gave him a nervous smile, so he unconsciously smiled back.
A very innocent yet tempting smile had Andrea stumbling down once more as Damien hurriedly caught her by her waist and twirl her around to steady her.
"What an enchanting smile." she thought.
Damien immediately cleared his throat to give a calm face when he realized he had just smiled. He rarely smiles. His smiles were his greatest weakness. He had always known his looks were the source of all his miseries and his smiles were poison. So he can't remember the last time he smiled since his mother died.
In all the couple's dreamy moments, they didn't realize the guests were swooning from excitement out of their adorable display of affection. There were giggles and smiles on most of their faces. But the expression on King Collin's face was wonderous, especially when he saw his son's smile for the first time in ages. He had forgotten what his son's smiles looked like. How beautiful and contented he had felt all these years simply from his son's lovely smiles...He surely missed it!
Taking his position at the pulpit, the Priest pleaded for silence at the crowd oooh's and wow's as they witness the cuteness of the couple before them.
"Let's commence". he announced.
The bride and groom took their positions and they were signaled by the priest to begin their wedding vows, pointing towards the groom to begin.
Edward handed the ring to the groom to commence with his vow.
Facing each other, Damien cleared his throat and began. "I Damien Spencer, take you Andrea West, to be my wedded wife, to be faithful and supportive for as long as our marriage lasts!". For just three months..." Damien added the last part to himself.
Now, it was Andrea's turn. She had sensed the meaning behind the last part of Damien's vow which slightly disappointed her.
"It was a real wedding after all, couldn't he be a little sincere". She thought.
"I Andrea West take you, Damien Spencer, to be my lawfully wedded husband, To love and To cherish, in sickness and in health, for richer or for poorer till death do us part!" Andrea finished her vows tensed and nervous.
Moreover, the pleased expression on the priest's face as he looked at the couple before him was indescribable. He sensed quite a unique bond between the couple even if they do not know it yet!.
"I now pronounce you husband and wife. Kiss your bride". The Priest motioned to the stiffened groom before him with a smile.
The couple finally took steps toward each other to seal their oaths with an everlasting kiss of unity and harmony.
With rapid heartbeats and trembling hands, their lips finally met in an overwhelming sensual kiss, before Andrea stiffened for a second to calm her drumming heart.
The kiss was brief but beautiful as they stare at each other with overwhelming emotions.
Damien found it hard to control himself from tasting her lips one more time, so he immediately distances himself from her to avoid that temptation. Which left Andrea thinking about whether their kiss repulsed him.
She knew she was a bad kisser... This was her first kiss after all. Even Damien sensed her clumsiness in the kiss, which he found very cute.
The couple finally turned to face the crowd as the guests stood in cheers and applauses as well as heartwarming congratulations, as the couple awkwardly held hands to begin their steps to a new life that awaits them.
