Let's get them Married

Edward excused himself after the introduction or maybe to the two girls, it could definitely be termed as a revelation since Darren being his brother, was never known to the public before now.

Edward's phone runged and he picked it up in a single ring when he noticed it was Damien calling. He must have overslept with yesterday's bachelor's party drinks and party. Edward had been trying to call him since morning, and he was sure it would reach ten times or maybe eleven missed calls, but his calls went directly into voicemail.

Upon Damien's call, Edward picked it up and snapped at him. He had waited a long time for his Best-man to arrive an hour ago. He hung up the call after his short speech to have Damien get his ass down here.

Meanwhile, the trio Edward introduced to each other and excused himself to pick up his call, were still standing, rooted in the same spot he left them, with an uncomfortable silence surrounding them.

"Alright guys, let's get seated." Edward intruded to break the tension.

They all took their respective seat, Ingrid and Andrea were curious about whatever Edward wanted to discuss, especially with Darren in their midst.

"I know you all are wondering why I called you here." Edward began, and from their facial expressions, he guessed they were fully aware or guessed whatever it was, he called them for. So Edward saved himself from the long talks and went straight to the point. Edward turned to face Ingrid before he delivered his speech...

"Ingrid, our marriage is strictly loveless and simply business, I know you were forced by your dad to accept this proposal, but as you can see, our situation has become complicated". Edward stared from one to the other, to make sure they were catching up on what he was driving at before he continued.

"I want all four of us, to come to an understanding, and calmly break this bondage without our parent's notice." Edward continued...."My idea was to have you marry my brother, Darren, in my place. But things could get worse because our dad and Darren were not currently on good terms. So I don't want to complicate matters. I kept thinking, but that was the only idea I could come up with, which doesn't look like, it will be possible. But If you could offer some suggestions, we could all come to an agreement and execute an impeccable plan, out of this mess." Edward finally concluded his speech of reason and stared at Ingrid to also hear what her opinion was, regarding his speech.

"I... do... kn..." Ingrid began to stammer from nervousness and relief. This was really working out for the better. So, instead of two heads for an escape plan, she and Andrea. She was glad they were now four. four-wise-heads! It was simply awesome!

"Don't start with that...It's now or never Ingrid. Please don't hide anything and speak, but enough of your lies...I wouldn't contain it anymore!." Darren encouraged Ingrid who was still undecided, with a little threatening push.

"Well," Ingrid finally cleared her throat to talk..."I also thought to convince you to marry Andrea in my place, but I couldn't think of how to convince my dad to accept it, and I was also scared my dad could end up hating Andrea, and try harming her, for stealing you from me." This was Ingrid's idea, the entire time she sat with Andrea to cook up a plan. Especially when she became aware of Andrea's still having a crush on Edward.

However, Edward was surprised by Ingrid's suggestion. What made her think he and Andrea had something going on? It was not like that...he only sees Andrea as a kid sister, who grew up with them.

"Andrea? But She and I aren't in that sort of relationship. We are simply childhood friends...I am sure Andrea doesn't have any feelings for me, apart from our friendship right?" Edward turned towards Andrea for confirmation, but he missed the disappointed look on her face when he mentioned that, they were only friends, so she simply nodded disappointedly

"It's not about love or feelings, It's about how we can get out of this mess unscathed. You could always get a divorce later. It's not like in my case with Darren, with love and feelings involved, and a baby on the way... "Ingrid mistakenly blurted out about her pregnancy, unknowingly. then regretted it, but it was too late.

"You are pregnant?" Darren asked in shock at Ingrid's confession.

"Let's discuss that later, I just found out last night!" Ingrid added to keep her matter separate and face the current problem before them. It was now less than 50 minutes to the wedding. Darren kept quiet as Ingrid said, but he couldn't help his deep thoughts on the news.

Meanwhile, Andrea's expression changed from surprise to disappointment as she heard their views and concerns.

"So what do we do know!? Darren asked.

"I just wished Damien was here, he could have thought of something" Edward answered, feeling a little discouraged.

"Damien?" Ingrid inquired.

"Oh yeah! Damien Spencer... He was supposed to be my Best-Man for the wedding.

Ingrid nodded in understanding "But where is he? why isn't he here yet?."

" I just spoke to him a while ago, he is on his way. He must be stranded in traffic." Edward defended his friend, for his lateness.

Suddenly, Edward's phone beeped with a message.

"Speaking of the devil..he muttered as he stood up at Damien's message with his arrival. The sound of the door jolted all of them, as Edward stood up to welcome Damien.

Edward dragged Damien to a corner to explain their situation, in order to help him come up with a solution to their problem. Moments later, the two returned to join the others at the table.

Ingrid introduced herself, as the bride, and Andrea, as her Maid of honor.

"Please to meet you Miss Andrea west, But have we met before? You look very familiar." Damien stated as he looked longingly at Andrea.

"I don't think so! this is my first with your face, you must have mistaken me for someone else. Believe me! if I had met you before, I would have found it hard to forget you, especially with a face like yours." Andrea replied with a smile. as she and Damien stared at each other. Damien was indeed bewitching her with his gorgeous face, and amazing smile, which Andrea couldn't help but admire.

"If I didn't know any better, with the way this introduction was going, I would have said you both were flirting with each other, you might as well get married." Darren had enough of Andrea and Damien's stares and threw a joke to clear the air. But all along, the couple sitting with them, minds clicked a the same time, with an amazing idea, for all their problems.

"That's it! why didn't I think of it before." Edward and Ingrid said at the same time and laughed at the coincidence of their exact words.

"Were you thinking what I was thinking?" Edward asked Ingrid to confirm his suspicion.

"Definitely! It is exactly what I was thinking." Ingrid confirmed.

And another round of excitement filled the air, which rendered the trio seated with them, stare from one to the other in confusion.

"Let's get them Married! " Ingrid and Edward shouted in collision, as they stare from Damien to Andrea.....
