"Buried"

My words won't come out.

They get stuck in my mind.

And when they play hard to get

they get harder to find.

I want to speak up

but my words hold on tight,

to a standard that says

they must come out 'just right'.

So they stay hidden deep

in my mind and I know,

if I can't learn to share

then I can't learn to grow.
