Roar of a defiled battlefield

In the darkness of the cave with only a single lantern burning, the crow plucked a feather out of its glimmery black fur, it levitated and spun in the air, trailing a black liquid behind it,

"Start writing" the crow commanded

And the feather obeyed, it moved up and down in a nod and took position on top of the scroll,

Flames burned and danced in the black irises of the crow as he spoke.

"Below are the detailed accounts which led to the demise of shargh" the crow mumbled and the feather obeyed, writing upon the old worn out scroll.

Lakeer the nakshaayir knew something that his unfortunate companion did not, a prophecy about the events that were about to unfold today, due to that he was grimly quiet.

Amawas slapped him out of the train of thoughts, as the entire structure they were in very faintly shook.

Both sisters shared a deep concerned look at that,

Amawas had grown a pair of horns, that made her look more menacing than ever, she had grown her power manifolds and had been tasked with the intelligence gathering of the entire Sehra, by the Empress herself, very few creatures knew that she even existed.

Her records were completely erased from everywhere.

The nakshaayir reluctantly walked forward, his form had no concrete shape to it so his steps felt like a bundle of papers pushed forward by the wind.

Before approaching the Iron bars that had the gate locked behind them, he looked back at Amawas

"Please... dont... do this" He said grimly, but Amawas did not listen.

Lakeer placed what seemed like his hand upon the crude bars, but immediately looked behind, his neck moved on its own at a reflex, Amawas and Aatish had sensed deep disturbance aswell originating from somewhere far below, moving closer to them quickly.

"QUICK" Amawas hissed.

Lakeer nodded then started chanting something as the crude metal bars slowly started glowing.

"AATISH" Amawas shouted in the next moment, between where Aatish was kneeling and Amawas stood, the ground cracked and a black wormish creature emerged, towering hundreds of metres in height, Its body was completely covered with razer sharp teeth that served as a hellish exoskeleton,

"A demon..." Amawas mumbled to herself and then everything happened in glimpses and flash, noone could tell when Amawas had summoned her chain scythe as she struck the creature with a blow that shook the entire castle like structure, Aatish followed the strike with her own.

Amawas summoned an ingress and Lakeer who was too awestruck to give a reaction, was sucked in.

Rohaan knelt, then rocketed high into the air at the speed of light, striking the demon right across its face. But before the blow landed, the demon general had already raised the back of its spear. Rohaan shifted mid-air and in a graceful manuever danced around, then struck the demon again at its eye in a forward riposte, successfully gouging it out.

Bubbly green liquid poured out of the socket in a fountain instantly vaporizing the creatures below, the demon hissed and groaned then let out such a shriek that Rohaan felt it penetrating deep into his soul.

Anyone else would give up, drown in hopelessness after the soul wrenching shriek but that was not the case with Rohaan, adrenaline burned deep within his golden sunlit eyes and a slight, satisfied smirk furnished his lips

He craved such action, he had volunteered to be right in the middle of it, pleaded Infront of the empress and his mother the Queen Lara, for Rohaan, fight was everything.

But his enthusiasm and excitement was shortlived as only some moments later, with its spiked fist, the demon dealt Rohaan such a fierce blow that despite being made of luminance, he was blown away, crashing into the a squad of confused enemy soldiers.

He found himself hundreds of meters away, bare-handed, his sword had fell off during the plumet.

Betting on a dangerous gamble, a lanky stick insect like soldier neared Rohaan, his slender had blood dripping from its edge.

But before he could reach the disheveled commander, Rohaan spun and kicked his leg, breaking it in two, then crushed it under his knee, Using the deceased soldier's body as support, Rohaan tried to get up but a violent blow pushed his head to the ground, he felt an abnormally strong pressure upon his spine,

Soon a feeling of dread and decay settled deep in his heart, paralyzing him for mere seconds.

It was an executioner,

Rohaans eyes widened with the realization as the thoughts were becoming slower and slower by every passing second, he sputtered blood.

Suddenly a memory flashed before his eyes, he saw a slender figure practicing kata with a sword,

Just the scene was enough as Rohaan screamed with rage.

From the tip of his fingers to head that was under the knee of the executioner Rohaan became as bright as the sun itself for some mere seconds, completely blinding the entire battlefield with his brilliance. Such was the intensity that even the general demon who was already hundreds of metres away from him stepped back in fear.

Then all the light danced and condensed upon his body and when it completely left him, clenched in his right hand was a sleek long dagger.

He plunged the dagger deep into the executioners eye at a speed that the poor executioner could not rationalize, his skull exploded.

Rohaan stood up, finally gaining strong footing among the horde of enemy soldiers.

The feat had drawn a huge circle around him as enemies became more vary of attacking him outright now. His soldiers were still far away, and the enemies were not in hundreds, but thousands.

Sucking a deep breath in, he moved his feet back and took a defensive posture, he had decided to make an impossible stand right here.

A pair of creatures that looked like long spiky lizards walking upright, snapped at him from the left, bearing sickle like weapons.

Rohaan dodged a diagonal slash from one plunging the dagger at the side of his neck then tore it apart and threw it at the other.

The barbarity from someone as noble as him looked too odd to witness but he did not care, the other creatures tried to block but a second later Rohaan appeared behind him, stringing his neck in a slash as he fell.

Someone wailed from the crowd, Rohaan closed his eyes and the next second he was upon the creature that was wailing in hopelessness after witnessing the sudden surge of Commander's brutality.

It was a grown wolf like creature with deep vermillion armor that had countless scars,

Rohaan killed everyone around it as it watched in pure horror.

In only a matter of seconds, he had killed some thirtyfive enemy soldiers.

A deep satisfied smile was slowly furnishing Rohaan's lips as he mowed down further, his every slash was a calculated genius stroke, his every move was a sight to behold.

Then he killed the wailing creature aswell with a strike at his eye.

A second later, his body moved on its own, by sheer reflex he dodged an invisible wind slash coming from somewhere behind. Turning his neck to such an angle that the strike completely missed it.

It hissed beside his ear and crashed into the creatures Infront, decapitating bunch of them instantly.

Rohaan had successfully established what he wanted to, the ranks of the enemies were encircled only around one target now, he had gained their attention and instilled such fear in their hearts that they could not strip their eyes off him even for a second.

Deep down something else was going on, the executioner had dealt severe damage in the shortest time possible. He had lost the ability to fly away temporarily.

He had to get out of the swarm as quickly as possible but not before, he had deeply instilled his fear among the ranks.

A maniac laughter resounded in the air, rising with it were the gasps of horror, his boldness further intimidated the enemies.

Gritting through pain, he launched into the air barely being able to change into the light for mere seconds, below was a dark sea of enemies of all kinds.

Suddenly an arrow tore through his skull which had already changed into light itself. In the flurry of movement he spotted the light sword, it was by the demonic abomination of a general.

Simultaneously with the attack of the arrow, he felt a chain coiling around his ankle, he looked below and spotted a pair of executioners, dressed in ordinary clothes, mercenary clothes.

They smashed him down with a jerk as his vision blurred, Rohaan once again felt the trickle of energy he had left dissipating at an alarming rate.

"Damn executioners" he mumbled through gritted teeth.

As he smashed his head against the ground, blood streamed from his forehead, clearing his vision and thoughts.

Then, as quick as light itself, he turned around and streaked the dagger right at the one of the executioner's eye, tearing through its skull. He found himself left with nothing but his fists, and the spiked chain was dragging him closer and closer.

He pulled, blood seeped out of his mouth, and got up to face the executioner. A tug of war started amidst the chaos. On one side was the prince of Luminaras, his unretiring craving for victory, and on the other was the corruption manifested in the form of an executioner. All the other creatures surrounding them dared not to intervene.

The executioner pulled, and Rohaan almost lost the grip when the horde, his forces, by a complete miracle, reached his point. Like a sea, they drove out the mercenaries. The two oceans, one of rage and corruption, and the other of resistance, clashed. Rohaan found himself kneeling amidst the soldiers. A hand grabbed him and pulled him up from the crowd; he could not tell who it was.

And handed him the sword.

A surge of energy suddenly enveloped him. He turned his head around to look at the enemy general. It was time to finish the job.
