The great nightmare-class battleship Ranging served in the navy for more than three centuries before it was sold as scrap to the mercenaries, but in the century of service it had been with them it had been repaired multiple times, some with better workmanship than others and many times using incompatible technologies or protocols. When Mouse on his first day as a crew member accessed the data and partial plans of the entire ship he wondered how that space monster managed to work.

As a crew mechanic his mission during his shift was essential, to attend to the multiple error messages, malfunctions and problems that came up when operating the ship, as long as there was nothing urgent or some impact, the rest of the mercenaries who acted as mechanics were dedicated to doing odd jobs so that this great warship continued to advance.
