Through out the darkness

After getting down from the cliff, Julian stopped near a shady tree and put down his lags down on the grass.

"We will camp here tonight."

Amber let out a relieved sigh and dropped her bags and sat under the tree and lifted her head, and started to breathe heavily after walking so many miles.

"Thank god, we are finally stopping."

Amara chuckled softly and took a seat next to Amber and, lean back a bit while looking at her with a gentle glaze.

"It wasn't that much of a long walk, but Miss Amber seemed tired already."

Amber gritted her teeth and looked at Amara with an annoyed expression, then she sighed and got up, dusting her back.

"I guess you're used to long walks like these".

Amara nodded and got up, dusting herself as well. Julian looked at them and Bruno.

"The night is already arriving so, I will gather some woods to build up a campfire."

Bruno nodded and walked up to Julian, "I will join you my lord." he replied to Julian. Julian shook his head "stay with the girls, I won't be gone for long."

Amara walked up to Julian and smiled gently, "I know around these woods, please let me join you, Sir Julian."

Julian narrowed his deep crimson red eyes at the female whole appeared next to him and peeked her head, so she can get a better look. Julian sighed and rubbed the back of his head.

"Fine, but if something bad happens, it's not my fault."

Amara chuckled while covering her mouth as she gave him a slight nodded "of course sir, I will try to keep an eye on myself."

Julian groaned softly and started to walk ahead as Amara followed him from behind. Amber looked at them walk into the dark woods again. She took a seat on the ground.

Bruno looked at Amber and took a seat next to her.

Amber puffed her cheeks and looked up Bruno.

"I don't trust her not even a bit!"

She said with a grumpy voice. Bruno started to laugh a bit and patted Amber's head gently.

"Because Lord Julian trusted her so easily?"

She huffed and crossed her arms and started to struggle to give Bruno an answer as she quickly shook her head, "this has nothing to do with Julian."

Bruno sighed and reached his hand up to Amber as he gave her a charming smile, "how about we find something to eat?" Amber looked up at Bruno and a slight blush appeared on her cheeks, she quickly shook her head and grabbed Bruno's hand. Bruno pulled Amber up. She started to dust off her clothes "alright, let's go!"

Bruno let go of Amber's hand and grabbed his book from his bag. Amber peeked up at her sword that was leaning against her bag. She nodded and walked into the woods with Bruno.

Julian kept picking tree brunches that were around the ground. Amara helped him to gather more sticks for the fire. Julian suddenly heard some voices coming from the woods. The voices were pretty close to their area, Julian leaned against the tree trunk that was closer to where the voices were coming. Amara leaned closer to Julian and tilted her head.

"What's wrong? sir Julian."

She asked with a quiet tone. Julian looked at Amara and pressed his finger near his lips, telling Amara to be quiet as he kept peeking at the two people talking.

"Shadow puppets and…two people from the Draenurus. "

Amara also decided to peek at them, she covered her mouth, dropping the brunches that she picked, and stare at the weird human-like shadow-like creatures. One looked at the place where Julian and Amara were hiding. They quickly stopped peeking and kept hiding so the shadow creatures wouldn't reach. They started to walk off after a while later. Julian keep his hand near his chest and sighed in relief. Amara starts to tremble after making eye contact with the shadow puppets. Julian felt the tremble as he grabbed Amara's shoulder.

"Hey, are you okay?"

Amara shook her head and hugged Julian, gripping on to his clothes, started to break down. Julian sighed and gently stroked her head.

"It's fine now, they already left. How about we picked these up and go to the camp area?"

Amara nodded and let go of Julian, she moved a few of her hair strings behind her ear, and she had a slight blush on her face. Both of them started to pick up the dryad tree branches and head back to the camp area.

Bruno and Amber looked around but couldn't find anything. they sighed and walked back to the camp area with a disappointed face. Julian and Amara was setting the fire as they looked up at Bruno and Amber, Julian got up and clapped his hands so he can remove the dust that was on his palm, "where did you two go off to?"

Amber looked away and started to poke her fingers together and mumbled something, "went to find food…" Bruno sighed and looked away from Julian. Amara laughed softly and grabbed her bag and looked inside it, She grabbed some vegetables that he brought from home along with a tool to cook them in. Amara created a stander to support the pot so they can cook food in it, She pours some water in it and uses some water to wash the vegetables. After washing them, she put them into the boiling water as she let it cook.

After a while later, the food was perfectly cooked, She grabbed some wooden bowls from her bag along with wooden spoons. She passed the three bowls and spoons to Amber, Julian, and Bruno and started to pour some soup into their bowls. Bruno nodded and thanked her as she smiled and nodded. Amber slurped some soup from her spoon as she flinched while sticking her tongue out.

"That burned!"

She started to whine while sticking her burned tongue out. Amara chuckled and hand a water bottle to Amber "Here drink some water." Amber snatches it from Amara's hand and starts to gulps the water and let out a deep sighed and wiped the water that was dripping from her chin.

"Thank you, Amara."

She thanked her while handing over the bottle back to her. She smiled and waved her hand while laughing softly, "don't mention it." Julian put down his empty bowl, removed his cloak, and used it as a blanket, lay it down it on the floor, and used his bag as a pillow as he lied down. Bruno looked at Julian and sighed with a smile.

"You two should sleep as well, I will keep on a lookout."

Amber nodded as well as Amara, Amara hand over a blanket to Amber as she nodded and lied, it down on the floor, and lied, down so did Amara. Bruno leaned against the tree trunk and kept looking around. He looked at Amber and moved strings of her hair away from her face when he was watching Amber sleeping. He suddenly heard a rustling sound coming from the bushes as he felt something dark coming from behind the bushes. He immediately covered his mouth and muttered, "no way…"

Julian gritted his teeth and kept staring at the bushes with a terrified look.
