God or Not?

"it was you…the priest said one day a god would appear before me…and help this kingdom to break through the darkness that has been creating within, so is that god you…king Julian?"

Julian looked down at the young male with a dumbfounded expression. Amber walked next to Julian and leaned down, so she is the same height as the boy.

"Jumoke…what do you mean by god?"

Jumoke took his eyes from Julian then looked at Amber,

"How about we give the royal priest a visit?"

Julian gave them a slight nod,

"That's a good idea."

The man approached us with a grim. He kept his hands behind his back before he talked to us,

"I can't let outsiders visit the royal priest."

Jumoke grabbed the man's arm and held it tightly. He started to whine like a little child,

"Aw, come on, Msamaki? They aren't outsiders! It's King Julian!"

The man let out a distressful sigh and looked back at the travelers. He started to clear his throat before speaking,

"Because of prince Jumoke, I will let you four visits the Royal priest."

Jumoke smiled happily. Rushed towards Julian, then grabbed his arm and dragged him to the palace exist. Julian followed Jumoke without asking any questions. Amber let out a soft giggle and started to follow them with Bruno. Amara stayed and looked up at Msamaki,

"Brother, are you sure about this?"

Mimaki watched Jumoke leave the palace with Julian and others. He looked down at Amara. He placed his hand over Amara's head and started to rub it gently,

"I'm not sure, but the way King Julian acted…I have nothing to be doubtful."

Amara sighed and adjusted her messy hair. She crossed her arms over her chest,

"Well, I know he is trust-worthy."

Msamaki looked at Amara with a satisfied gaze, and then he started to walk ahead, tried his best to catch up with Jumoke. Amara looked at Msamaki and sighed and, started to follow him.

(At the church)

an old man was at the entrance, looking at the children playing around the garden. A woman who looked like she was in her mid-30s was standing next to the man. Jumoke rushed towards the old man,

"Father!"

He almost was goanna hug the old man but, Msamaki stopped him. The old man gave Jumoke a cold glazed, then the glaze turned to a warm one. He kept his hands together and smiled,

"Hello, prince Jumoke, how may I help you?"

Jumoke smiled back and took a few steps away from where he was standing. Julian walked up to the priest,

"You must be the royal priest?"

He questioned him with a cold tone. The priest gave his usual smile and looked at Julian,

"And you must be King Julian. How about we talk inside."

Julian nodded, appreciated his invite. Everyone went inside the church except the women. They started to walk through an empty hallway into a massive room. He walked through the ale and stood in front of the statue of their god,

"Tell me, Julian, why did you come to the Wellakar kingdom?"

Julian kneeled and kept his hands together and, so did everyone else, Giving respect to the gods before speaking. After they were complete, they got back on their feet. Julian walked forward and looked at the priest.

"I came here to revise the Acquire stone."

Jumoke gasped and looked at Msamaki with a worried expression. Msamaki gritted his teeth and about to draw his sword out. The priest looked at Msamaki,

"General Msamaki Baol, we don't bring violence before god."

Msamai narrowed his eyes and put his sword back. Priest's eyes shifted back to Julian.

"King Julian, I apologies but, I won't be able to give you the Acquire stone."

Julian kept his hands together and bowed his head,

"I'm sorry I wasted your time."

He turned around and started to walk off. Amber looked at Julian and then at the priest. Both Amber and Bruno bowed their heads and followed Julian. The young priest tried to catch them,

"How dare they turned their backs on the greatest priest."

The elder priest stopped the other priest,

"It's alright to give him time to realize that giving up isn't an answer."

The younger priest looked at the elder priest,

"What are you planning father?"

The elder priest watched Julian, Amber, and Bruno walking off. A smile appeared on his face,

"You will, soon or later."

Julian, Amber, and Bruno walked outside the church. Msamai and Jumoke weren't far behind. Julian placed a hand on his chin and started to think,

"How can we get the stone…dammit?"

He let out a soft growl while gritting his teeth. Then suddenly, they heard the voice of people screaming and black smoke going appearing from the middle of the city. Amber looked at Julian in a panic,

"Julian, something is wrong!"

Julian clench his fist. He looked at Jumoke,

"Does this church have a stable?"

Jumoke quickly nodded and took them to the stables. Julian went inside and saw that the doors were locked so, he grabbed his sword and swung it, breaking the lock. He got on a black horse and grabbed the straps and looked down at the others,

"I will go ahead and check, follow me from behind."

Everyone nodded. Julian smack the horse using the straps as it started to run off. He rushed towards the capital. The moment he went there, The buildings were a wreck, and half of the army men were on the ground. Everyone was running around in panic. He looked at the beast that was destroying buildings and ripping people in half.

Julian got off the horse and pulled out his sword. His eyes start to glow and, so did his sword. The beast began to snarl and growl louder. Julian smirked and stepped forward, dashed towards it. He jumped onto the beast's head tried to stab it through but, it turned to water made him fall onto the ground but, luckily he stood his ground he looked around and, the beast attacked Julian from behind then Julian stopped its attack by using his sword. He swung his sword and started to stab the creature, using lighting speed but, somehow or other, it dodged all the attacks without a single scratch.

It slammed his massive paw across Julian's face throwing him away. Julian hit through the walls. He lay down the broken tones while gripping onto his sword. The beast came towards Julian and picked him up by his throat. Start to squeeze his throat, making it hard to breathe.

Julian grabbed the beast's arm and struggled to get free. He grit his teeth and squirts his eyes. Then a woman walked next to the creature as she placed her hand on the creature then Julian looked at the creature and, his eyes widen up. The women chuckled and enjoyed Julian struggling. She kept her fingertips on her lips and gave him a sick smile,

"Kill him."

The beast smirked and started squeezed harder interlock anyway for Julian to breathe. suddenly, the beast's leg began to turn to ice. The beast started to panic and dropped Julian onto the ground. He held his throat and started to cough. He watched the creature trying its best to get itself free, but the ice was too strong to break. He looked at the women that were standing in front of him,

"Violet…"

The women kept a finger near Julian's lips and whispered into his ear,

"We will meet again~."

She disappeared into black mist, leaving Julian in confusion.
