Empty hearts

It was finally time, the music starts and the guests started arriving. Julian stays near the entrance of the ballroom and starts to greet the guests.

Lloyd whose the kingdom's minister's son decided to talk to Julian, this charming young man with a white suit with deigned by red flames, he was also wearing white gloves, white boots and his hair was falling both of his shoulders, the male bow down his head asking permission to talk to Julian.

He nods as they both walk to a place where not many people were around "it's been awhile your majesty" Julian folds his arm and looks at the male with yellowish-brown hair "so, what do you need this time? sir Lloyd?" the male smiles and keep his fingertips near his bottom lip "I heard you got married?" Julian lifts his eyebrow and gives Lloyd surprised look "I didn't tell anyone outside the palace…?" Lloyd laughs and gives Julian a sinner with a smile look "maybe someone in your palace let out the news~ who knows" Julian let out a breath "dammit…that idiotic adviser" Lloyd chuckles and pats Julian's shoulder gently "it's time for your queen to be relived into the public" the announcer starts to speak louder so everyone could hear him "Lady Amber Rose has arrived!" he bows down and greets the young Queen.

Amber walks next to the announcer to see hundreds of eyes staring at her, she shakes her head and shrugs the bitter feeling off. She does a courtesy before entering the party, they watch Amber walking down the staircase before the ball started her maid taught her how to walk and properly greet the guests because of that she felt confident about this, even if she had a small amount of time to practice. In the midway of climbing down the staircase, she trips "oh no…" she closes her eyes tightly when she realized that she didn't hit the ground.

She opens her eyes to see a young man with brownish yellow hair, and with deep red eyes that make any girl stair at them. He uses his arm to catch Amber and keeping her from falling. He smiles and says with a mesmerizing voice "gotcha~ are you okay?" his smile melt Amber's heart within seconds but her fantasy about this male-ended because of the horrible whispers that start coming from the background.

She quickly leans back up and smiles softly "thank you for catching me" the male nods "of course, miss Amber" when the announcer announced to comment on the party like nothing happened the guests start to mind their own business.

She smiles and moves strings of her light pink hair behind her ear "ah…?" she looks at the male with a confused face "you are?" the male let out a small laugh "ah, we haven't met yet my name is Lloyd the son of the fifth minister in the Kingdom it's a pleasure to meet you~" she does a courtesy again "the pleasure is mine sir" she kept on smiling while placing her hands in front of her. "Lady Amber you aren't royal or noble are you?" he smiles and looks Amber from top to bottom.

Amber startled a bit "what made you say that sir Lloyd?" the male grabs Amber's hand "May I?" he keeps on of his hand behind his back and leads Amber outside the crowded ballroom. She follows him outside without saying another word. The moon was full and brightens the area with moonlight. She looks at the full moon and a bright smile appears, Lloyd stays behind Amber and looks at her "Miss Amber why did you marry our king? Most of the women that came to see Julian imminently refuse after he shows them his true side" Amber looks away start to sweat "I can't tell him that he force me…and it's all some silly contract…" she started to panic in her head. Lloyd walks next to Amber "my apologies for asking you an uncomfortable question" Amber shakes her hand laughs nervously "it's fine don't worry about it" Lloyd's bright expression changes to something dark and serious this makes Amber gulp in fear "you know…Julian was in love with this girl-" he narrows his eyes at Amber.

Amber blinks "what-?" Lloyd laughs and looks at Amber while wiping a tear off his eye "aha, your expression was priceless~ did I get you jealous?" Amber puffs her cheeks "why would I!?" Lloyd looks at Amber again "because he is your husband?" Amber covers her mouth "Y-yeah" she narrows her eyes away from the male "dammit…I almost gave away the truth".

The music starts as they could hear the music flowing through the cold night breeze, the wind blew across them carrying leaves and flower petals with them, Amber closes her eyes and tries her best to move her hair behind her ear when she hears a voice saying "take my hand" she opens her eyes to see Lloyd lending her a hand. A soft blush appears on her face as she gently places her hand on Lloyd. he grabs her hand and pulls her closer. His hand starts to wrap around Amber's waist as her hand place near Lloyd's shoulder. She looks at him as their eyes met, they couldn't take their eyes off each other because of the intense feelings they had at that moment.

Lloyd smiles gently "it would be my honor if queen Amber be my partner for tonight's final dance" Amber blushes as they part away, Amber does a courtesy again and Lloyd bows down and lends her a hand "May I?" he asks it once again but this time Amber replies. She lifts her gown off the ground just a little bit and holds Lloyd's hand and his shoulder, his hand place on Amber's side as they both start dancing to the rhythm of the music. These made Amber forget about Julian for a moment and she felt like she was living in a fairy tale that she never wishes to wake up. After joining the royal palace this was her first time smiling so cheerfully, the music stops as they greet each other formally. She looks at the place getting lit up by lanterns "wait it's time already!?" she huffs tiringly. Lloyd looks at her while holding a lantern with a bright smile "this one is mine but we can send it together!" she smiles and lights it up as Lloyd let it go. Julian was hiding behind the corridor and looks at them while holding a lantern that he brought for Amber and himself.

After the ball was over the palace looks sort of empty, but Amber's chest was flattered by the charming man. She hums and walks towards her room, but she gets stopped by Julian, she glares at him as he did the same but, with an unpleasant stare "where were you!?" Amber looks down and gives him a blank look "it's none of your business" Amber starts to walk past Julian. He quickly grabs Amber by her arm and tightens the grip. Amber flinches and looks at Julian "ow! Hey, let me go!" Julian stares at her with an angry look, "I asked a question I need an answer!" he yells at her. She sighs, and kept glaring at Julian "I was with another man! happy now?!" Julian throws her away and wipes his hands and throws the napkin next to her.

He walks past her and steps on the napkin "disgusting". She lowers her head and grabs the wall to help her stand up she felt an awful pain on her ankle. She stays quiet and starts to limp her way to her bedroom. She closes the room door, and sits on the floor and hugs her knees and starts to cry "I hate this place…"

Julian looks at the full moon through his room window, he felt a woman resting her head on his back "Julian…I missed you…do you still love me…?" he grits his teeth and mutters softly "violet…." He covers his face and falls on his knees.
