Between spaces

Cleon approached the young female and took a seat next to her, her icy glace soften a bit. He smiled softly and laid his hand an inch away from hers, and then he asked her question to begin a conversation.

"What may this amazing and beautiful young maiden doing outside, Alone and cold?"

She moved her white hair behind her ear before answering his question,

"Well, I'm not fond of crowded places…I only came here to meet king Jade."

The male's eyes widened when she said the name of the king of Xaya. He looked away and clenched his chest,

"so…you're the young princess who was engaged to Jade?"

His deep blue eyes narrowed at the beauty sitting next to him. She smiled and kept her hand in front of her light pink lips, making the male fall more deeply in love with her. After hearing the music that was coming from the ballroom, without noticed he got up and reached his hand at the young female,

"Would you like to have this dance with me?"

The girl looked at the male, stunted that he suddenly asked her to dance with her. She smiled softly and placed her hand on top of his. He held her hand and pulled her up. He let go of her hand, then he bowed down as she does a courtesy. He held her right hand and placed his left hand on her hip. She kept her left hand on his shoulder. They started to dance to the soft rhythm under the dim light of the clear white moon.

She smiled throughout the dance. She couldn't be happier. During the dance, he couldn't take his eyes off the young female. When she looked at him, their eyes locked with each other. Jade was walking through the hallway while talking to one of his Royal generals when his eyes met with Cleon and the women he was going to marry.

The old adviser looked at Jade, then at the two couple who was dancing under the moonlight. He started to bad mouth the girl but, Jade stopped him and walked up to the two couples.

Stood behind Cleon, placing one of his arms behind his back, and started to clear his throat, snapped them out of their fantasy dream. Clade looked behind as he noticed Jade, quickly letting go of the female. They both bowed asked to forgive them. Jade placed his hand onto Cleon's shoulder and spoke to him gentle tone.

"Can I have a word with you?"

Clade looked at Jade and gave him a slight nod, agreeing to go with him. After they went to a deserted place, Jade kept his hands behind him and walked few steps ahead of Cleon. He let out a soft sigh and began to speak,

"You and Nomsa would make a nice couple."

Clade stared at Jade for a bit and started to let out a shocking noise. He cleared his throat and stood straight, then he looked away from Jade,

"Are you sure about that? She is your soon becoming queen?"

Jade turned around and faced Cleon with a smile. He shook his head and folded his arms,

"Well, I found someone I am interested in, and it seems like you had as well."

-The present-

Clade lent against the balcony and looked down at the water fountain. He laughed softly before speaking again,

"After that event, Jade's marriage to Nomsa was canceled. After that, I introduced her to my parents, but they weren't happy about that. I had to fight my parents to make them like her. During that time, Jade went power hungry…my father went to fight for this kingdom but, sadly he passed away. Because I was at my right age, I was crowned king…I thought now that I'm king I could marry her."

He moved his fingers through his forehead hair. His eyes were filled with regret and sorrow. He gritted his teeth and gripped tightly onto the metal bar.

-The past-

Cleon grabbed Nomsa's hand and ran into a small town ally. He pulled down his cloak and held her hands gently while breathing heavily. She pulled down her cloak, and looked back at the male, and panted. He held her hand tightly and looked at her in concern,

"Are you okay?"

She smiled and held his hand as tight as he did. he quickly pressed her against the wall and stood in front of her, covering her mouth. He narrowed at the soldiers who were walking past by. Her eyes widen and, her eyes gaze upon him. A light pink flush appeared across her face. He moved her hand away from her mouth and looked down at her. She looked like an embarrassed little mouse. He gulped and shook his head getting rid of those sinful thoughts. She giggled and smiled at him,

"I'm fine, so should we keep running?"

He rubbed the back of his head and nodded and grabbed her hand and began to run. A bunch of soldiers was looking for this Young king but, he kept hiding from them. After getting inside an abandoned barn. He started to pant heavily and sat down on the ground, leaning against the stone wall. She sat next to clade and leaned closer to his shoulder and, started to fall asleep. He gazed at the young female and moved some of her hair behind her ear.

Day by day he fell deeply in love with her, but the rules said he can't marry someone outside of his kingdom. Royal or noble. He tried changing the rules but, the elder priests didn't allow him to. One day, he received an invitation to the Slevaria Dynasty. He got excited about this invitation. He imminently prepared the clothes that would impress the young female.

The day of the ball arrived, soon before he noticed he was standing in front of the kingdom doors.

He walked inside with confidence, when he walked inside, the ball was crowned by different types of nobles and royals. He walked through the crowd in wish to find the young maiden.

He kept looking for her and then he remembered back when he met her. He left the ballroom and went outside to see her sitting under a tree, with a small bunny in hand. He walked in front of her and kneeled. She lifted her head and placed her bunny, and hugged him tightly. He was surprised by her sudden action. He kept his hand on her lower back. She gently let go of him as she started to break down into tears. He cupped her cheek gently and started to whip her tears away using his thumb. He started to

speak with a calm voice,

"What's wrong?"

She placed her hand on top of his then looked at him with sadness,

"I'm getting married to someone else…"

His eyes widen as he looked at her with a dumbfounded face,

"What?"
