TWIN JERKS

Helena racked through her clothes and picked out a White t shirt and black jeans. She changes, puts a file in a black bag, wears her white sneakers and looked at herself in the mirror. She thought to herself ' Calm down Helena. Just tolerate it, it's just for 10 months.'

Her expression turns cold. These people didn't know what she is capable of.

She takes the bag and leaves the room. she is leaving the house when Bianca calls out to her ' Helena!!!'. Helena turns and says calmly ' Yes Bianca '. ' Helena I'm sorry for what Aiden said he didn't mean it. He's just not used to new places, people or things ' Bianca says. ' Don't justify his actions. I stand by what I said. until he apologizes, I will not ask anything from him. I have to go now.' 'How will you find your way??' Bianca asks. ' I downloaded a map. Don't worry, I'll be fine. ' Helena says and leaves.

Helena is walking by the road when she sees a restaurant with a sign 'chef needed'. She enters the restaurant and speaks to a waiter ` I am here to apply for a job ' `wait here' the waiter leaves and comes back with a middle-aged woman. 'Follow me ' the woman says. Helena follows the woman to the kitchen. ' What is your name??' the woman asks. ' My name is Helena Homerna '. 'I am called Madam Amy. So this is the kitchen for your interview you are to make three dishes in 90 minutes. Understand?' Madam Amy says. ' Understood ' Helena replies.

Helena looked around. There was a four mouthed cooker, An ingredients cabinet, plates cabinet and the kitchen sink and counter.

She opened the ingredients cabinet and took out some carrots, cucumbers, cabbage and other vegetable.

90 minutes later

Madam Amy returns and looks at the three neatly covered dishes. ' Let's see. Salad, Porridge and Soup.' She tastes them and soon finishes the bowls of food. 'You passed the interview. Congratulations ' Madam Amy says. Helena smiles. ' I will pay you 1000 dollars per month along with 50% discount on meals you buy. Choose your time to work. A minimum of 4 hours.' ' Um.. Madam Amy. Can I work two hours ' Helena says. ' Two hours??' Madam Amy asks. ' I will cook all the food on the menu and make sure to store them in the refrigerator so they can be reheated when needed.' Helena explains. ' That's okay but may I ask why??' Madam Amy says. ' I actually have two other jobs. I'm new in NYC and I am still struggling to settle down ' Helena explains.

'Oh! you are hardworking, that's good . Where are you from?' madam Amy asks.

' Florida ' Helena replies

' Okay resume work officially next week ' madam Amy says.

' Thank you ma'am ' Helena says an leaves.

I need to look for two more jobs.

She walks for a while till she sees a hospital she applies and gets a job as an assistant doctor.

She finds another job at an ice-cream parlor opposite a shopping mall.

As she walks back to the Astrovana estate, she calculates her expected income. 1000 dollars as a chef, 8000 dollars as a doctor's assistant and 800 dollars as a waitress. With a few tips she could earn 10000 dollars a month. She would record another song this month.

Her estimated income should be about 50,000 dollars.

Soon she arrived at the Astrovana estate as she enters she hears voices.

'Adam you should talk to Aiden. I don't like the way he behaved with Helena.' Bianca says

'Brother did nothing wrong. why should he apologize? Mom just brought a random girl into our house. We don't know anything about her. Who knows if she is a thief, a hired killer or something. I mean don't you see the way she eats. It's a good thing she has gone to get a job. Aiden and I were ready to help her as long as we don't see her around.' Adam says heartlessly.'

'Brother how could you say that. You and Aiden are being heartless ' Bianca says. ' Sister we are business men we believe in profits and with Helena around I see losses' Adam says.

Helena walks in and says ' It's bad manners to talk behind someone's back. If you have something to say, say it to my face.' ' Helena??' Bianca says with a startled expression.

' Since you have heard what I had to say, no need for me to repeat it.' Adam replies.

' Be careful what you say about me, you might regret it later' Helena replies .

' What exactly does Miss Homerna plan to do??? Complain to our mother' Aiden says as he walks in. ' I don't have time to talk to brainless psycophaths. please excuse me'. She is leaving when she paused and says to Bianca ' Bianca,I got the job.' ' congratulations Helena ' Bianca says. ' Thanks ' Helena replies and enters her room. Twin jerks. They could say whatever they want. Helena Homerna was not as weak as they thought
