Marcus sat before a steaming cup of coffee, watching the restaurant across. His vibrating phone called for his attention but he knew he could not answer it given on the other end was a fiery inquisition and rebuke he was not too fond of.

Basing on the information his investigator had given him, he stalked the place where he had been told his father took his morning coffee and bagels. The information had also suggested that his dressing, workplace, automobile and other pointers hinted that he was wealthy and successful. They were good and admirable traits, but they were traits that made Marcus even angrier at him than he already was.

Growing up, Marcus had given himself potential reasons why his father had abandoned him. To make it hurt less, he told himself that basic livelihood and perhaps immaturity were the reasons his father had given him up. They were atrocious, but bearable. They made his mind obtain a tad amount of ease and sanity. Then came the file.
