Chapter Twenty-Three

'Love lift us up where we belong' played on the radio as Cindy lay in a place she felt she belonged, his arms. The pain refused to let her loose and her limbs were so sore that once she settled into a spot, she had to stay there. But even if she felt no pain, she wasn't going anywhere. Her mind was once again pondering how she could be so lucky. His mind only thought of one thing, vengeance. 

He longed to locate the perpetrator and give him the attention that was due to him. His mind would be devoid of peace as long as the reason for their recently past anxiety and distress was still out there, drawing breath without a care for the damage his actions had caused. As he thought of what he was going to do to him, his mind diverted him on a different path. He had to think about what he could do given he was still largely impotent.
