Chapter Twenty-Five: Some mistakes need to be made.

"How did I get here?" probed Elizabeth as she wept helplessly on her father's lap. 

Mr. Greenfield could feel his daughter's pain. He was extremely wealthy and could do anything that money could buy. There was a lesson to be learnt, money can't buy love or happiness. It can't buy even some poor people. Also, good character is worth more than gold or silver, yet it costs nothing material. Then again they always say the best things in life are free. His tear-wet pair of expensive pants were testament to that. 

"I tried everything daddy," she added, "I tried to get him to see after Leila died. Tried to make him go with me to therapy so he could work through his grief, but the more effort I put in the more he seemed to drift further away from me." She whimpered as her eyes conceived a river. "I offered him everything, but he wanted nothing from me."
