Chapter Ninety-Seven: Sweet, sweet revenge.

"Herman, are you in position?" Elizabeth asked over the phone with Jake beside her.

"Yes we are and they have arrived. I have to go, will call you as soon as we are done."

He hung up before they could achieve the objective of their call.

"Damn it! Let me try again," Elizabeth said as she dialed again, angst clearly showing on her face.

Jake was going crazy, biting his nails.

"What were you thinking?" Elizabeth asked as she anxiously waited on the ringing phone to be answered.

The call was cut and sent her to Herman's voicemail.

"Damn!" 

"What?" Jake inquired getting off the edge of the desk he was sitting on in almost typical Elizabeth style.

"Dad's gun?" Elizabeth asked, "seriously?"

"Look she just said she was feeling vulnerable, felt a guy was following her and she just needed to brandish it and scare him away. It wasn't even loaded."
