Chapter Eighty-Eight: A murderer.

"I was on the street across from Brad's house. I just wanted a sneak peek you know, just wanted to see my family. But all I saw was Brad when he returned home from work. So I decided I would stay a little longer.

"When it was around eight, I saw two men trying to sneak into the house. They had knives. Immediately I thought they were robbers and was scared for my kids…, and my wife. And so I left the spot where I had been standing and stealthily made my way towards the house. "

Marcus took a moment to compose himself. Cindy rubbed his back to help him remain on top of things.

"I came across a piece of dried branch which I picked up. I had to rush because I knew if they were to go in and use one of the kids as hostages then there would be trouble. I am their father, it is my duty and responsibility to protect them," he said as it seemed his emotions had tuned up a notch.

"It's alright boo, we understand." Cindy rushed in to assure him.
