It had been three weeks since she accepted Mr. Greg's job proposal and she was getting ready for her send-off party which Celine had insisted on hosting. She had never been the party type, it was always easier and much comfortable to slink into a lonely corner to draw, paint or even dabble in poetry. The noisy atmosphere of a party was a very unsuitable place for her creative mind but it meant so much to Celine, that she would be present so she went along with it.
"Which one matches my dress? The round or the dangling ones?" She asked holding up to different ear rings against her black straight-cut gown while she spoke to her mother on the screen of her laptop.
"They both look beautiful, baby girl but this is a party, why not try something more free? Isn't that what you preach as an artist?"
"Mum, I haven't been an artist for six years now and I would very much like to stick to my new role as long as I sleep comfortably at night."
