Running away

Along the wild forest, Aslan moved a cart. It seemed to be heavy but she was doing just fine moving it around.

BAM... BAM... the wheels of the cart collided with rocks causing a groan to be heard from inside the cart and soon after there was rumbling but Aslan pretended to be deaf.

Aslan did not stop until she got to a considerable distance. She stopped the cart by a tree and then opened the padlock.

ZaEl squinted his eyes due to the sudden intense reflection of light. His brow furrowed as he wonder who was standing in front of him.

Aslan looked at him for a while as he still lay in the cart but soon shook her head in disappointment and went for a drink.

Confused, ZaEl sat up and looked at his surrounding. What was he doing in a cart and where were they? He was sure he had slept by the rock yesterday but why was he here now? He had a lot of questions but he was sure that she wasn't going to answer any of them.

He stared at Aslan who sat by a tree with a bottle in her hand as she looked the other way.

"Why am I here?" he asked confused. He knew that this wasn't his father's accomplice or else he would have been with his father by now.

"Who are you?" he asked again but got no response.

He rubbed his temples as they ached a little. Slowly, he got out of the cart and looked around properly. Soon, his face turned two shades dark.

"Isn't this the wild woods? Why are we here?" he asked angry that someone napped him and brought him all the way to the wild woods where dangerous monsters stayed.

Aslan stood up casually, "Why? Are you scared?" as she said this, she walked past him leaving the cart behind and going her own way.

ZaEl watched her as she slowly walked away from him but soon followed her as he needed answers and directions. The wild woods wasn't a place for only one man and to make it worse, this boy had no energy.

"Where are we going? Why are you leaving me behind?" he asked as he struggled to catch up.

"Sorry I can't make this easier on you." she spoke with a mocking tone as she continued to walk, "I have a boat to catch."

"Bo... what?" he hurried confused after hearing boat.

Finally, he got to her and blinked twice after seeing the boat and who was there waiting for them.

"ZaEl!" Aiden raised his right hand to show that he was there. His bright smile confused ZaEl even more because he wasn't expecting to see Aiden there.

Aslan sighed, "What are you waiting for?" immediately after she finished saying this, she walked towards Aiden who was already in the boat.

Back in town, sounds of broken items and complaints were heard from Eldezar's house.

"Where could he have gone?" Elene muttered under her breath.

"He had better disappeared for good or else there will be trouble," Eldezar spoke with an angry tone. He had searched all night but found no trace of ZaEl. This made him frustrated and angry.

"How hard can it be to find that powerless weakling?" he asked frustratedly but got no response.

"Is it until I go from door to door asking everyone in town before he comes out?"He asked again but got no response. He turned to look at his wife who was lost in her own world and called out.

"Elene... Elene!" he yelled and she finally jerked back to the present.

"Huh" she looked at him confused.

"what are you thinking about?" he asked with his brows furrowed and she shook her head as a response.

"It's nothing. I guess looking for ZaEl has gotten me so tired. We should check the entire town to be sure that he was not here. After all, no one knows that you have a last son so this shouldn't be hard to conceal." she explained and he nodded in agreement.

"He had better disappeared for good." Eldezar breathed heavily obviously hoping that ZaEl was dead or washed away from this planet.
