chapter 22 Eliandra's POV.3

On reaching home, what I feared happened . Adralis was laid on a bed in his room , tended by the family doctor. My sister was not present at all.

That explains the red light and the ominous feelings of death that I sensed on my way back. Who could blame her.

Even though we have our difference, I always knew that my sister loved adrialis more than anything. She may not show it on the surface but that's how she is. I don't even know if adralis himself knows about it. Most of the times he is always alone or in the library unless you want something from him .

And they would not even break ounce of his Concentration on the book.

Reaching his room, I budged my way in not caring for anyone in the room. And there in front of me is adrialis in coma. If you didn't know, you might think that he was only sleeping.

Upon seeing me, the family doctor motioned for me to come closer.

My feelings were a mess. I sat by the edge of the bed and caressed Adrialis

hair. His body was emitting a lot of heat. How was that even possible. Noticing my puzzleness, the doctor clarified.

" He has been like that since that accident Miss Elara. His body is working overdrive to keep him safe. Thats what we can infur in the moment"

" What do you mean in the moment?"

" Adrialis case is pecular. We don't know what's wrong with him in particular. All the high grade potions have been fed to his body healing the injuries but he hasn't woken up since. I am yet to determine the course, but I have hantch that it may be related to his soul..."

As the doctor continues his explanation, he failed to realize that the person he is talking to was lost on her own world . Noticing the quietness, the doctor tajws that has his que to leave.

I continued to watch over Adrialis, taking over from the doctor. In fact , used my enchantments to enlarege the room and brought my things to Adrialis room. I lived with him for long as I remember.

His mother may sometimes come to see him twice a week , later once a month until she stopped coming altogether. From the information I gathered, Elara had become colder than before. Her presence alone sent shivers to anyone who saw her .

Two years later, Adrialis awoke from his coma. That day , I was out running an errand and when I came back, I found him seated on the edge of the bed staring at the window. He did not notice my presence till i sat beside him.

He smiled at me. At least he though he was but I knew it was not a smile. He was trying to reassure me. And that's what i like about him.

" How long was I out?" He asked me a question that I didn't want to answer. Noticing my reluctance , he still pressed for it.

Taking a deep breath , I calm down my nerves and look at him in the eyes.

" You have been out for two years Adrialis..."

Seeing the shocked look on his face, I stopped talking . His breathing become hard and laboured and he passed out .

I knew he just passed out but I didn't want to take chances. So I called the doctor to examine him.

" He is just passed out. Nothing is wrong with him. His body lack nutrition so I gave him a high grade potions to boost his system. Ones he wakes up , he will be fine. Tell him to take it easy and don't overdo it.". After that he left. I guess he is still wary of me.

Two hours later , Adrialis woke up groggily from his bed muttering to himself. With my keen hearing , I heard what he was muttering about but chose not to comment on it. He had to face the reality and accept it as it is. The sooner the better for him.

"Did my mother came to see me during those months that I was in a comma?"

'Here we go again. He can't even asked how I have been ...'

" I know you have been taking care of me since I was a child Aunt Eliandra. Seriously, I won't be surprised I you started living in my house..."

Chuckling, I snorted at his remarks but it still brought a smile on my face.

I then spend the next hour telling him about the changes that have happened in the outside world , his mother coming to see him for a few months .

I saw the disappointment in his eyes but he quickly hid it.

I spend my time with him teaching him about enchantments , what he missed and his projects that he so wanted to finish. And like that , the last three years went in a flash till this happened again.

( The present)

I had left Adrialis resident minutes ago. Currently I am sitted in my compound watching the sunset. This is habit that I formed during the course of my travels around the world as it helped me to calm down and have a different perspective on a problem, life and overally just to review the things that I have done with my life till now.

That's when I felt a strong shift in the environment. I figured it must be the Adralis. I just knew it . Call it women intuition. I spread my senses and there, I notices the barrier in his room crumbling down in specks of light.

I wasted no time and rushed to his room. I found my sister standing outside the door to his room . And for the first time, I commented her for that. Most of the time I was the one who always ends up with Adrialis no matter what happened. Don't get me wrong with your twisted mind.

I just nods at her before proceeding to entre the room. My sister following behind.
