Chapter Thirteen

"Hi, my name is Riya, the youngest princess of Macbeth," Riya said to Lucian.

"I am Lucian, the youngest Prince of Gatrish," Lucian said replying to Riya.

"Can you tell your guards to excuse us," Riya asked smiling.

"Okay," Lucian said. He faces the guards, "Can you please excuse me."

"I have heard a lot about your bravery. It is rare to see someone speaking without mentioning your name," Riya said.

"I heard a lot about you too, the brave little princess of Macbeth who started going to the war front at a tender age."

"Are you also fond of the garden? I love it, I mean the garden because I love to be surrounded by attractive things especially flowers," Riya said pulling him to the field of dandelion. "Let's stroll."

"Looking at the flower makes me happy," Riya said jumping up and down. All the while, Lucian look her with a smile on his face.

Suddenly bunches of arrows came flying toward them. Lucian pulled her close to him, making sure there was no space between them. He swung his sword diverting the arrow from them.

Riya could feel his closeness, his warmness, his hard palm on her back. She was so lost in her thoughts that she did not realize the danger and mess she was in.

"It is the demon. I think they are after you," Lucian said pulling her out of his embrace.

"De- Demon," she stuttered looking around her. She realized the mess she was in. The demon attacked her while she was lost in her own thoughts.

"I am sorry," Riya apologized.

"You don't need to be," Lucian said smiling. That was the first time she had seen him laugh. She had butterflies in her stomach.

"I will tell my father to repay you," Riya said.

"If you want to repay me then, make coming here a habit," Lucian said with a smile.

"I thought you did not enjoy my company," Riya said confusingly.

"I did enjoy your company."

"But u never said a word. I was the one talking."

"That was because I was overwhelmed by God's work in you."

"What!"

"Is that not your sister? She is calling you," Lucian said.

"OK. That means seeing you tomorrow," she said and left.

"Will you come tomorrow?" Lucian asked.

"Of course," Riya replied and walked away.

"Chen, wake up. Chen," Abigail called."Are you having a nightmare?"

"Looks real to be called a nightmare," Chen thought.

"See how you are covered in your sweat," Abigail said worriedly.

"Am fine," he replied.

"Where am I," he asked looking around.

"You are in the hospital," Abigail replied.

"Looks more beautiful than to be called a hospital," Chen thought. "You should not have bothered booking a VIP ward for me."

"Why shouldn't I bother? Well, it is not a problem since it is Juana's hospital. Booking a private ward for you is the easiest thing for me to do," Abigail explains.

"Juana is the owner of J & A Enterprises, a business tycoon, and also the owner of the hospital he was in." he thought, "what more did I need to know, or what more is there for me to know about this ladies."

"What about daisy," he asked.

"Do you want to see her?"Abigail asked

*No, I can't allow her to get s worried," Chen replied.

"Do you know any country called...."

"Chen, "Amanda called making him stop what he was saying.

" How are you Mandy Sweet heart," Chen asked.

"Am fine. What about you? "Amanda asked.

"Am getting fine as you can see," Chen replied with a smile on his face.

"Hi Chen, "Hazel greeted

"Hi, Hazel," Chen replied.

"How are you? How are you feeling? Hope you are getting better?" Hazel asked.

" Of course.Am getting better as you can see."

Hazel strolled down to his bed making herself comfortable on the chair. She crossed her legs and shifted towards him using her hand to roughy his hair.

"I missed you," she said.

"If you miss him how about you change the situation. You get sick," Abigail said with a hint of jealousy and anger in her voice.

"Abby," Chen called slowly.

"Chen is strong. He will overcome this. He will not die. He promised me that, "Amanda said easing the tension.

"Take your medicine," Abigail said pointing Chen's medicine to him with a cup of water.

"Thank you," Chen replied standing up from the bed. Abigail offers a hand.

"Thanks to all of you," Chen thought as he took his medicine with the water.

It has been two weeks since I have been discharged, can't I still go out," Chen asked Abigail who sat opposite him on the dining table.

The butler came to ask for what they wanted for lunch.

"Sandwich and coffee," Abigail replied and the butler left.

"Do you know the men that attacked you?"Abigail asked.

"Have never seen them before. Maybe they are kidnappers," Chen replied and continued, "why do you ask?"

"Because I am worried," she replied blinking her hazel eyes.

The butler came back with their lunch and Abigail started eating.

"How do you find me?" Chen asked.

"I tracked your phone," Abigail replied lying.

"Am sorry for making you worried," he said with sincerity in his eyes.

"You don't have to be," Abigail replied.

"Daisy's birthday is in two days and I wanted to celebrate it for her. Will you come? Amanda will be there too," Chen asked.

"Of course, we are going," Abigail replied.
