Chosen to be a Villain

Andrew and his family are thrust into turmoil after losing a loved one to the influence of a false god. This malevolent deity grants powers to those it harms, transforming them into summoners. These summoners can call forth living manifestations from their past—books, movies, and other cherished or despised memories. As a result, society fractures into two opposing factions: those who protect these summoned beings and those who seek to enslave them. Humanity, haunted by the memory of what was stolen from them, is reminded of the untouchable nature of the gods and the perpetual unrest that plagues their existence on Earth.

Chapter 6: Was I Wrong?

I don't know if I did the right thing. I guess I took it too far with Cloe. I miss the times when we discussed things. I knew what I was doing, but I went too far. I made her torture her friends and use the dead bodies...

At worst, my parents don't want to talk to me. We hadn't talked much before, but at least they didn't run away when I went to Angel's house to visit them.

Onelio survived, but his mother is traumatized. She had a panic attack in a crowd, and he is mostly sleeping because of the drugs, so...

I am alone. I feel alone.

A hard moaning breaks my thoughts. I come to realize Maria's deal. Of course, I am alone in a room.

I hear the noises from outside because they want to fulfill their fetish, or want to assert their position with Maria.

I have doubts because they bring the slaves and do it among themselves. Or is this the normal situation here?

Maybe they want to attack someone from the town, and I won't be there to mediate. But they can call me and go outside.

I forgot to make it part of the deal, but I told Maria and she said that they don't have problems. Also, we give them priority with several things.

Or do they want me to have sex with the human dog? But they don't do anything with them. Onelio's mother said it. It was in the past, but I don't think they can change. They are crazy, but they have 'norms.'

It's like a belief...

So, I am lost.

I was hoping Maria would come here. She chose me. So, she wants me to feel unloved or something. Well... I am down, and she was doing it right.

I take a deep breath. I see the bed in the room. I lie down on it. I put my hands on my stomach and close my eyes.

'Good morning, good afternoon, good night. Thanks for the good moments, and thanks for the bad moments not being so bad...'

I pray to calm myself...

I wake up because of the noise outside. I check my phone—it's five fifteen. I take out my gun and go outside to investigate.

I always believed if you hear a noise, never check it. But I am in this position for the town and must be 'brave' for others... I am hungry.

A group of people is fighting around a slave. How can I tell? A tattoo on the neck and nape, a group of numbers that give information about the owner.

I don't know why the one who protected my house created it before we had slaves. But I have to say it works very well for security.

"Excuse me." I talked to someone who was on my way to go home, but everybody began to look at me.

'What? It's five. I am not a slave.'

"That slut fucked my slave." What?

"

I didn't do anything," a girl screams at the first woman.

"Just pay me, poor thing." The two sides of the group begin to argue about this.

'It is not my work. The property is for Angel.'

I look at the slave. I don't have anyone important outside of this town, but I have people who helped me before the fake god. I don't know her, so...

I search for the human dog who knows me. I think I know her from high school. I can't do anything right now, but I could do something later.

If I should do it or not. I must meet her.

I keep hearing the people argue about the slaves for an hour. In the end, I did not know how to finish the argument because Maria arrived at the house and threw me out. And I don't see the human dog.

The conversation was engaging. The talk evolves into gossip and begins to be fun.

"I want fried chicken," I say alone on my way home. I miss the days when I could buy junk food. I don't want to cook and want to chat with someone.

"Why is my country so poor?" Other countries have junk food, but in my country, it's one step away from being a failed state.

"Well, we are not so bad. We are mostly fine."

When I was near my intersection to go home, I saw a naked man with his hands tied being tackled by another naked man.

"You fucked me and now you don't want my husband's dick, slut." A partially naked woman arrives and begins to pull the hair of the first man.

The man who protects my home, his wife, and the slave that I gave them. Angel was gifted a slave from Maria, but he and his wife don't feel safe with one of them around their kid. So, they gifted it to me.

He helps me make the rules and manage the tasks for the slaves. So, I gave him the slave. He wanted one, and it was clear. I was without words.

We mark the slaves because if they damage someone, the owner will pay.

You made it, and in less than twenty-four hours, you almost let your property escape.

"Are you kidding, Jocksan?" The three of them look at me.

"Can I explain?" Jocksan talks while keeping down the slave.

"I don't need it. You wrote the rules, and I don't have to remind you. Just... the next time be careful. Okay?"

Both nod. I walk past them to my home. A while later, I heard somebody screaming.

The worst part is, it's not the first time that someone has had sex on the streets.

"I am tired and hungry."

It was some time since I wrote. What did you think about this chapter?
