Chapter - 12

" What was that ? " asked Lisa once we were alone in the hallway .

" What ? " I asked, crossing my arms, giving her my full attention .

" You were basically giving Amelia death glares the entire time we talked . She's not so bad . " said Lisa .

" I know and that's what I don't like . She is so sweet and kind and ugh . I don't like that . Plus he had his arm around her - I just . Why couldn't she be mean and all ? Why couldn't she be like the girls in the movies - all weird and sassy but Nope - she is very kind and so so sweet . "

" I know I know . Come here . " said Lisa, giving me a hug . " I don't need a hug Lisa . " I said, pushing her arms away .

" Come on . " she said and opened her arms wide . " No . " I said, still pushing her arms away .

" It's ok Ellie . Jealousy is ok . " She ignored what I said and gave me a hug anyway . " I'm not jealous . " I whispered . " Ya right . scoffed Lisa, making me roll my eyes . " You do know we're in the middle of the hallway and everybody is watching us right ?" I asked . " Who cares? " said Lisa, making me laugh . Lisa never cared about what others thought and that was something that I loved about her .

" Group hug " yelled Brune from the other side of the hallway and came running towards us and joined in the hug .

" Brune - don't kill us . " said Lisa as Brune crashed into us . " I would never . " gasped Brune, pulling away after a while .

" Thank you guys . " I said pulling away too .

" Don't worry girl . You've got us by your side . " said Brune .

" I know . Thank you . "

" We love you, " said Lisa . " I know . " I smiled .

" Well - I'll go now . Bye . Gabriel's waiting . " said Lisa . " Oh okay . See ya tomorrow . Bye . "

" I'm coming too . Bye Ell . See you tomorrow. '' said Brune and they headed outside where Gabriel was waiting .

I too after collecting all my books headed outside where Sam and Amelia were talking . Great .

Just as I walked outside , Amelia waved at me .

" Hi Ellie . " she waved with a smile .

" Oh . Hey . I didn't see you guys outside . " I lied .

" Oh hey Ellie . " Sam greeted me too . I fake smiled while waving towards him .

" Well see you guys tomorrow I guess ? " I said as I started walking .

" We were actually waiting for you, " said Sam .

" Oh . Um . You didn't have to . " I said as I turned towards them .

" And let you walk alone ? Nah . " said Sam .

" Well . Thanks but you really didn't have to . " I said .

" It's no problem ." said Amelia .

" Well then let's go . '' I said and started walking ahead of them .

" Woah . Wait up . " said Sam and started walking by my side . I stopped and turned around .

" Hey ? Come on . " I told Amelia . " Nah . You guys go ahead . I'll be right behind . " said Amelia, who was busy texting on her phone .

Me and Sam then talked about anything and everything . When I told him about what our drama teacher told us , he was a little sad .

" Didn't know you wanted that part so bad . " I said .

" Well , I've always loved acting, " he said .

After talking about some nonsense stuff , we were in front of Sam's house .

" This is us then . " said Sam . I just looked at him in confusion . " Us ? " I asked . He just nodded and started walking towards his house . Just as he reached the door , he turned around and yelled , " Bye Ell . See you tomorrow . " I waved back with a smile on my face .

Just as I was about to head towards my house , Amelia stopped me .

" Hey Ellie ? Wait . " she said and came running towards me .

" Yes ? What's up ? " I asked looking anywhere but at her .

" Did I do something wrong ? " she asked keeping her phone away .

" What do you mean ? " I asked her and fake laughed when I knew perfectly well what she was talking about .

" You were basically giving me death stares the entire time we talked . " she said .

" Oh - um . No . It's nothing . I - " I could say nothing .

" Oh my god . Oh my god . " said with a smile on her face, hitting her head with her palm .

" What ? " I asked her .

" You like Sam . " she said .

" What ? No . I don't . " I lied .

" Oh my god . That dumbass . That stupid boy . " she said . I was just confused as to what she was implying on .

" What are you even talking about ? " I asked her .

She then outstretched her arm . " I'm Amelia . I'm the new transfer student . Sam and I have known each other since birth . We've been close since we were babies because I'm Sam's cousin . Not his childhood crush or girlfriend or something . " she said laughing . I was soon flustered by what I heard .

" Oh . Um . You're Amelia . Sam's cousin . " I said, shaking her hand . She just laughed . " That dumbass just forgot to mention the key word . " she said, making me laugh .

" Um . Please don't tell him about this . " I said, feeling a lot flustered . " What ? " she teased .

" Don't tell him that I like him . '' I said with a blush on my face . "Don't worry . Your secret's safe with me but you have to tell him . What if he likes you too ? '' she asked, wiggling her eyebrows .

" He doesn't . " I said .

" And how do you know that ? " she asked me with an amused tone .

" I just know . " I said . She just sighed . " Both of you are dumb . No offense . " she said . I just laughed it off . " None taken . " I said .

" Well this is me then . Goodbye . See you tomorrow . " she said walking towards the gate .

" Bye Amelia . I - also sorry for how I behaved . " I said .

" It's ok . Being jealous is natural . " she yelled back .

" Amelia . Please shh . " I yelled .

" No promises . " she yelled back laughing .
